I got to issue this rebuttal or I wont sleep tonight. Dog I think you missed the concept of this scenario. 1st of all the scoring is not broke. Only getting 50 points in the game is a major defeat. Thats what you were suppose to get if you start it and drop out. No most of the time you wont be killing things in the 1st 2 minutes . But the way the scenario randomizes you just might be in 5 minutes. As a replay value of 2. I have to say I was some what offended . The enemy can set up about 5 different ways. As there being no plan in place. Your the Company commander you fight your units the way you feel they will do best. I really tried to get away from the shooting gallery type of missions. I found this to play out like a chess game. Many times I found my self thinking how will i get through the next 2 Kilometer with that one enemy tank out there. I found this to be one om my most challenging missions so far. If you play it like combined arms operate then you can do well . But I do have to say dog that was the best review of a scenario that I have seen in 5 years. If more people could give a review like this more people would make better scenarios. When I first read the briefing I thought "OH CRAP! 6 companies to command!". Luckily that turned out to not be the case because that many companies would be just too many for me.

Actually you get to command 3 platoons and two HQ units plus some recon and tow hummers. Not unreasonable at all - except for the size of the map. It's 12Km to the objective and that's as the crow flies. The terrain is varied and has lots of trees so getting to the objective requires not a little planning which by the way would have been nice if a loadable plan had been supplied with the scenario or at least a default plan that loads on entry that the player could modify. If you don't like a lot of planning this one isn't for you. On the other hand if you're a seat of the pants type you'll love this one.

It takes a bit of time for the action to start so if you're one of those that expects to pull the trigger within the first 30 seconds or so you'll be disappointed.

In my opinion - as a single player situation this scenario would be much better suited to a smaller map.

Overall I give this one a 3 but only because the map design is so well done. The briefing is confusing and the objective too far away for a company sized engagement. In addition a whole lot of pre-planning is necessary due to the nature of the terrain which must be crossed to get to the objective.

ASIDE: Scoring is broke - I bailed out the first time thru because I screwed the pooch with the M3A3's planning and their scout sections got left behind somehow. On exit I had 50 points and hadn't made contact or even got very far out of the initial assembly area yet.
