An attempt at more realistic sounding radio calls by adding some distortion without degrading the audibility too much. I did this for myself initially because the radio calls seemed too 'clean' and not what I remembered. These are processed stock voice files, not original content.
There are three variants. A heavily distorted, rather cinematic version, a darker medium distortion one and a light distortion one (readme enclosed). Use what feels best obviously. Deleting them reverts to stock sounds.

I do feel there's room for improvement so please provide feedback in the mods forum.696 downloads

Version 1.1 : fixed some problems with the external sound of the HMG. Some sounds replaced. Readme/Credits updated. Here you have a remix of many of the sounds mods out there (74 sounds)... I didn´t create any of these sounds. M1 Abrams Awesome Sounds! FINAL I tinkered with M1 sounds on a free sound editor to the get SB3 M1 Abrams to sound like the turbine is under load and moving over terrain. I also put in sounds of the Alison transmission barely keeping up with the near 70 tons being pushed. And all that by the jet's brutal and constant 1,500 horsepower at over 3,000 pounds torque on it near flat delivery curve. *** I think I will stop here at V.3 of these sounds. Most of these sounds are borrowed and I do not want to be taking a deserved spotlight from their originators. I just wanted to share a version that I use on my rig and hope you enjoy them if you like the combination. VERSION 3 files: In V3, I removed most of the comms sounds because I was never able to reach the author; I left two that I actually got from online videos. I also: * Adjusted the Abrams engine sounds to sound like its heard through a helmet. * Interior; added sound of air-con/NBC unit blowing air in the cabin. * The startup sound I hope reflects the sound of the engine spooling up from POV in the driver hole with the hatch still open. * The exterior engine idling sound is one of Daskal's engine sounds with the sound lowered about 3 decibels. * Could not resist adding some track squeak since tanks are universally known for that. And tracks of most tanks do squeak loudly at the beginning when the tracks have a patina of rust from sitting around - or something like that. * As for that loud annoying aux. hyd. pump; I have no idea what that would sound like to a tanker with his helmet on so I totally guessed on it. I imagine the helmet maker would make filtering it a top priority. I put some of that sound in though. *** I want to give full credit to 'Daskal' for his awesome sounds that are found within these sound files. I also used some other sounds found on the internet in video and such. I call this download '...AWESOME SOUNDS' because of the excellent material I was able to mix together. My work was very simple and rather easy to do on a free sound editor (Wavasaur). Its the great sounds infused that make them worth while.
