    Another Cold War 1987 scenario.  This is set on the Fulda-Bad Hersfeld map.
     
    A Soviet division, together with East German NVA (Nationale Volksarmee) support has taken Bad Hersfeld during the prior day.  Now that night has fallen, intelligence from headquarters says that a tank company with mechanized support is rolling down the valley toward Niederaula, while a smaller force probes the valley to your east...Unless they're wrong?
     
    You lead the battered remnants of the 11th ACR's 2nd squadron.  Help is on the way, if you can hold them off long enough.
    Your opponent has superior firepower, and heavy armor in numbers, but you have superior night vision technology.
     
    This is designed to be played as an easy to moderate difficulty cooperative scenario, with a group of 2-4 players commanding various platoons.  Much of the action is going to be based on finding good spots for your dismounts and other anti-tank assets to ambush the enemy, and you have recon assets on hand to find those locations.
     
    It is possible to play as a single player.
     
    Have a plan in mind to deal with unforeseen circumstances.

    Soviet forces have made an attack across the inner-German border, only to be halted within a day by fierce resistance from German units fighting for their own territory, rapidly scatterable mines, and a superior NATO air force.
     
    NATO forces will now attempt to breach their own minefields and strike against the Warsaw Pact forces before they can regroup.
     
     
    Playable vehicles for Blue include:
    M60A3 TTS
    Marder 1A3
    Leopard 2A4
    Numerous supporting assets, including FIST-V (AI will not call for fire on it's own)
     
    Blue forces are responsible for conducting their own recon, planning and executing a breach, and capturing two objectives in a limited amount of time.
    It is possible for a single player to complete this mission, with the help of some scripting in the planning stage.

    SITUATION:
     
    In 1986, Iran launched Operation Dawn-8 and captured the Al Faw peninsula. Iraqi attempts to take back Al Faw failed.
     
    MISSION:
     
    Well, men. We are ready to expel the Iranian invaders that have been occupying our soil for two years. The Iranians have set up several defensive zones in front of the town of Al Faw with infantry in trenches backed up by M60 tanks. With three Republican Guard units, the Medina, Baghdad, and Hammurabi and the 7th Corps with the 6th Armored and 7th Infantry, we will attack and clear Al Faw of the enemy. A Commando unit will be inserted by helicopter south of Al Faw to assault the town.
     
    EXECUTION:
     
    7th Corps will advance south along the Shatt Al Arab and clear any opposition encountered on the way to Al Faw. The Republican Guard units will advance south on the right flank of 7th Corps and approach Al Faw from the west.
     
     
    Three batteries of artillery (18 tubes) will be on call.
     
    Republican Guard Armor units are equipped with T-72A/M1.
    6th Armored is equipped with T-55A.
    Mechanized Infantry Units are equipped with BMP-2.
     
    Iranian Armor units are comprised of M60's.
    Infantry are equipped with anti-tank weapons and missiles.
     
    120 minute time limit.
     
    Points scored for capturing Al Faw.
    Points scored for destroying 50% of enemy.

  7. M60 Assault mission. Player controls 3x M60 Platoons. Push static front back 5000+ meters.
    takes place in the late 1980's versus Russian T-55,62,64, and 72's. Hannover Germany Area.
     
    Both sides have ample ARTY to use.
    Mission intended as COOP but plays well in SINGLE player. Expect 60-90 minutes to play through
     
    Expect Epic stand off Tank Battles at longer ranges. Choosing where to establish battle positions for your platoons is key.
    Poorly chosen and expect heavy losses.
     
    There is no scripted End Mission. Players choose when to decide if mission has been completed.

    SITUATION:
    After the defeat at Gazala, the Commonwealth has retreated to defensive strongpoints based on the coastal town of Mersa Matruh with the main goal of delaying the Afrika Korps from advancing on Alamein.

    MISSION:
    The Afrika Korps is to assault with the intent of capturing the Commonwealth strongpoints and destroy 75 per cent of the Commonwealth force, paving the way for an advance into Egypt.

    EXECUTION:
    The Etruscan Infantry Brigades- Trento, Brescia, and Pavia will assault the the town of Mersa Matruh. The Afrika Korps Armored units of 15th Panzer, 21st Panzer, 90th Light, and the Etruscan Armored units of Ariete and Trieste will capture Bir El Hukuma, Charing Cross, and Sidi Hamza. Then assist the Etruscan Infantry by capturing Mersa Matruh. Next, the Armored units will swing east to assault Bir Sarahna, Minqar Qaim, and Bir Kalda. The Commonwealth positions will be defended by the 10th Indian, 50th Northumbrian, and 2nd New Zealand infantry units along with the battered remnants of the 1st and 7th Armored. Two weak battle groups,  Leathercol and Gleecol, have been formed to defend the center between Mersa Matruh and Sidi Hamza. A cynical staff officer has described a battle group as a "brigade group that has been twice overrun by tanks".

  12. DK forces attack to seize a Bridge - what could go wrong?

    SITUATION
    Enemy: Within the past 48 hours the 111th Brigade Tactical Group (BTG) attacked south across the Diamond River. The 1st Battalion of the 111th suffered few casualties but the speed of their operation quickly over-extended their lines of supply and communication. The 1st Battalion is currently postured in a hasty defense along the Diamond River, preparing for future operations with the rest of the BTG reconsolodates. The first Battalion consists of 3 Companies of T64Bs and BMP2s. They have at least one Company defending the Diamond Bridge, along Highway 7, with two Companies further north. The 1-111 BTG does not have any air capability but the has six tubes of 152mm artillery available, as well as 1x reserve Company from the 111th BTG. 
     
    Friendly: A Joint Coalition Task Force is forming quickly to the south, and is preparing to attack north.
     
    MISSION
    D Co. attacks to seize OBJ EAGLE to pass friendly forces across the Diamond River.
     
    EXECUTION

Coast Force is responsible for capturing Halfaya Pass, Escarpment Force is to capture the remainder of the frontier at Fort Capuzzo, Musaid and Sollum.     Situation
    The 111th Brigade Tactical Group is defending in sector, with one enemy battalion (1/111th) established in a stronghold defense within the city of Al Shakir and another battalion (2/111) established in a defense in depth to the east of the city. The 111th BTG are equipped with T-90S tanks and BMP-2 IFVs as well as dismounted infantry with AT-3 ATGM and RPG-27s. The 111th has no ability to conduct any air sorties, but still maintains a 6-gun battery of 152mm artillery (offscreen). Additionally, the 111th has one Battalion (3/111) in reserve and may employ a counter attack force at any time - our S2 estimates that they will most likely employ a counter attack if Al Shakir is isolated. Additionally, there is an insurgent force controlling a canal crossing to the east of Al Shakir. Our S2 assesses their force to be composed of several rifle squads with AK47s and RPG-7s.
     
    Mission
    Your Company Team (D CO) must conduct a flank attack to isolate Al Shakir, to allow friendly forces to conduct a clearance of Al Shakir. 
     
    Execution
    1. Conduct an aggressive flank attack on Al Shakir to isolate the city and prevent further reinforcement and logistical support to the 1/111th.
    2. Be prepared to conduct a breach of an obstacle belt, vicinity 11 Northing (engineers attached) and a canal crossing to avoid an insurgent stronghold (bridge team attached).
    3. Be prepared to conduct a defense against enemy counter attacks once you have established a blocking position to the south of Al Shakir
    4. Once you have established a blocking position, friendly forces will begin their assault on Al Shakir. 
     
    Fires
    Battalion has allocated 4x 120mm mortars (offscreen) in support of this operation. Smoke and HE are available. 
     
    Game Rules
    1. Please stay within the boundaries - there are no real enemy forces in Al Shakir (for performance purposes) and you will get nothing out of the scenario if you cheat
    2. The blocking position will be 'set' one minute after friendly forces occupy the area around the bridge.
    3. You will be notified when you win, and the game will end shortly after.
    4. Have fun, report any issues on the forums.

    The Commonwealth has occupied a defensive line running from Gazala on the coast down to Bir Hacheim at its southern end. The 1st South African, 50th Highland, and Free French occupy the defensive positions of the line. In reserve behind the line, are the armored units - 1st Armored with the  22nd, 32nd, and 201st Guards Brigades and the 7th Armored with the 4th and 7th Brigades.
     
    MISSION:
    The Afrika Korps is to breach the Gazala line and capture the defensive positions and destroy 75 per cent of the Commonwealth force.
     
    EXECUTION:
    The Etruscan Infantry Brigades- Sabratho, Trento, Brescia, and Pavia will assault the two defensive positions held by the 1st South African and 50th Highland.  Due to the extensive minefields in front of the Gazala line, the main armored thrust will involve sweeping around the most southern defensive position, Bir Hacheim, and attack the Commonwealth positions from the rear. The two Etruscan Armored units - Ariete and Trieste, will capture Bir Hacheim at the end of the Gazala defensive line. The Afrika Korps of 15th Panzer and 21st Panzer along with 90th Light will sweep around Bir Hacheim and move north to assault the key defensive position of Knightsbridge, held by the 201st Guards and then destroy the two Commonwealth Armored units - 1st and 7th Armored, then assist the Etruscan Infantry with their assault. Next the advance to the east is to be made with the goal of capturing Acroma, El Adem, Retma, and Bir El Gubi.

Allied forces are preparing an offensive to push back the Bavarians.<br /> <br /> MISSION:<br /> The DOW Armored Task Force is to cross the Moselle River and execute a raid deep into enemy territory destroying supply depots and artillery parks located in villages. Enemy forces in these areas are comprised of infantry and tank units for defense. Intelligence has ascertained that elements of three armored panzer brigades are available to act as a quick reaction force to deal with any penetrations.<br /> <br /> EXECUTION:<br /> Combat Command A (CCA) will cross the Moselle and clear Chateu-Salins, Remerville, Varangeville, and advance to Arracourt.<br /> Combat Command B (CCB) is to cross the Moselle and clear Luneville, Valhey, Bauzemont and advance to assist CCA with Arracourt.<br /> <br /> Each Combat Command will have two Tank Platoons (M1A2SEP), 1 Mechanized Infantry Platoon (M2A2), 1 Recon Section (M3A2) and a CSS Platoon with Supply, Medical, and Repair units that will follow closely behind advancing units.     Designed for 8 co-op multiplayer, but can be played out as single player.

    Each Mission Part is considered difficult. Loss of any mission asset provided will dramatically effect possible mission success. To help counter this, reinforcements will be available.

    Each Mission Part will take a minimum of two hours to complete. If executed with a cautious advance, plan on far longer. To complete all 4 Mission parts, time in mission will be well over 8 hours.

    As this is a Operation, you will need to install to your "My Operations" folder.
