1. CZ Studios T-72M1 Pack Russian and DDR

This file includes 6 skin-files for the T-72M1 in green colour. The track file is also included. The skins are: Soviet: Soviet green colour, Guards unit markings DDR: NVA green colour, NVA markings (This is made with the German guys at steelbeastspro.com in mind! Thanks for the excellent site!) No markings: Soviet green, no national etc. markings and they all come with camo nets and some light foliage for extra camo, or without - however you prefer it! The skin has lots of additional detail to make it look like it has seen some combat. This includes broken parts, towing cable moved to the rear of the vehicle, additional track-pieces in front and back hull of the tank, camo nets and some foliage to cover the vehicle's front and sides, rust and of course a load of mud and dirt. Also the markings are made to look like they are added by the crews and not for parades. And of course the overall detail of the vehicle is much improved! To install copy the skin you want to use + track to your "my documents\esim games\Steel Beasts\Mods\Textures\(theme)\" and if you wish to have it only for red side, copy to "my documents\esim games\Steel Beasts\Mods\Textures\(theme)\red\" The skin is made by Congo & Zipuli, Congo being responsible for the detailing and good looks of the tank, and Zip for the bad condition it is in + camo nets, track and markings! Hope you enjoy watching the skins in your gunner's primary sight! Version 1.0 (3 Sep 2006) CZ Studios

  3. T-72B3 (T-72M4CZ mod)

Since it has 2nd gen TIS, everyone uses the T-72M4 as OPFOR MBT.
However, the M4CZ is distinct NATO-member state modernization.
Solution? Make the M4CZ look like the recent Russian T-72B3 modernization, which is widely being used in combat in "volunteer/vacationer" armored units.

This mod does just that: since what visually differs the M4CZ from the B3 the most is the CITV on M4, Sosna-U TIS on B3 and K-5 ERA instead of DYNA-72 on B3, this was adjusted for, alongside with paintjob.

  6. Finnish T-72M1 (2.640)

Summer and winter camo plus decals for da Finnish Army T-72M1. Turret top file included.

Finns bought the first T-72M1s from the Soviet Union in early 1980s. When the DDR went under, Finns bolstered the numbers to 120+, buying surplus equipment from the Germans. The T-72s made up the backbone of the two Armoured Brigades from 1990s to 2005 when the decision was made to dispand the Brigades and scrap the T-72 flotilla. The T-72s were last time seen in numbers during a refresher training in Helsinki in 2004.

The T-72 was loved and hated, and they bought a very special place in Finnish tankers' hearts. The old farts that worked with the tank propably say it was the best possible tank for Finnish terrain, where engagement ranges are short and small size could mean the difference between life and rather manly death by punching a hole in the clouds, still inside the cramped turret... Also the multifuel engine was excellent for the Finns, as during war time one may run out of petrol, but the T-72 would have no trouble as it could run on vodka, for example. And that's the last thing the Finns would run out of after copying paper.

Now sit inside the beast yourself and see if there is any truth in the stories and legends...

  14. Czech T-72M1 in NATO-friendly U2500 camo (3.025)

Until eSim implements TURMS-T and makes T-72M4 playable, T-72M1 has to do the job for the Czech Army in SB. But in combined ops scenarios with AÄŒR on NATO side, how do you tell if that uniform-green T-72 is friend or foe? They all look the same!

Well, let's give those Czech T-72M1s basically the same camouflage scheme as T-72M4, then. Tanks pulled out of reserves during wartime don't get anything but new paint job (and batteries) anyway...

  15. T-72B 3 Color Camo v1.0

This is the T-72B, which began production in 1985. In the late 80's the Soviets adopted a 3 color camo, similiar to MERDC camo. Production T-72B's were painted in an overall Soviet olive drab No 2, with swaths of light sand and blotches of black. This unit carries the 2nd Guards Tamanskaya MRR insignia, from a plate in the T-72 Main Battle Tank 1974-1993 New Vanguard book. In the book the 3 color looks very brown and drab but I have included a more traditional dark green camo version also.
