Software developer eSim Games, LLC and the official fan site of its premier product, Steelbeasts.com, are awarding several prizes for the sceanrio submissions for the scenario design contest which ended on June 1st.
"I'd like to thank all of those who participated in the contest and a special thanks for the judges", said eSim Games' president, Al Delaney. "This is also a good time to thank all the SB players, who I think have made the SB community such a special place."
"This is only the beginning," said eSim Games Marketing Director, Nils Hinrichsen. "We will hold more competitions in the future to strengthen the community. We hope thatthe example of these fine winners will inspire other players to get creating and create their own scenarios in future events."
eSim Games' special prize for newcomer scenario designers goes to Kim "Pop Smoke" Gowney for "Escort and Defend". Kim will receive the world's best mousepad and a very rare T-shirt featuring a Leopard 2A5.
Mousepads and a diecast model of a British WWI "Mk.V" tank model will be awarded to all winners who excelled in the following categories:
The Steel Beasts Prize for "Best Scoring Formula" - Steven Beard with "Blue Helmets".
The Steel Beasts Prize for "Best Briefing & Map Graphics" - André Henkel with "Attack on Hill 317".
The Steel Beasts Prize for "Best Balanced Scenario" - Kevin "ChanceBS" LaChance with "Zugzwang".
The Steel Beasts Prize for "Most Original Scenario" - the "Grim Reaper" with "Deliverance".
The 3rd place in the main category "Best Scenario" was awarded to Thomas "Dealer31" Ransom with "1-66 Attack". Tom chose the Unimax "Force of Valor" 1:32 scale Tiger tank.
The 2nd place in the main category "Best Scenario" was awarded to Ulf "Eisenschwein" Köppen with "Excalibur". Ulf opted for a Dragon diecast model of the 1945 Panther G in 1:35 scale.
And the winner of the Grand Prize is forum user "Tacbat" with "Winged Dagger". "Tacbat" Will receive a collection of 1:72 scale diecast models, a lifetime Steel Beasts Upgrade Plan, an original black beret of the German Panzertruppe, and of course a Steel Beasts mousepad.
