  1. Great session today. Thanks again, everyone, particularly also for your patience and assistance with updating and obtaining the map file.
  2. Abraxas, would you have room for two newbies in today's session, perhaps as TC and gunner?
  3. I'm tempted to ask my brother to check if that BRDM is still there IRL... he lives a couple hundred meters NW of the minefield... ...come to think of it, maybe I should warn him about that minefield and the bridge being rigged for demolition. It's on his way to work. 😉
  4. Just a quick t(h)ank you for having me at last night's TGIF battles and your patience and support. I enjoyed both sessions and hope to be back soon.
  5. Thanks, Jartsev! Wow, v3 release notes had the answer. Tells you a bit how long I've been gone, I suppose! With those insights, works like a charm.
  6. Hi! I've come back to Steel Beasts after a long absence. Fantastic to see all the upgrades and improvements from v3.0 to v4.2! However, I am struggling with the Leopard 2A4 commander controls now: I can't seem to engage KW (which should be Num* key after going into KH with arrow up) and then also can't use the laser rangefinder (should be right mouse button or CTRL key). I even tried pushing the KW button in the turret interior view, which looks like it is interactive, but still, nothing. [I am in "DiSi" with F2.] I can't seem to switch directly from KH (arrow up) to ZÜ (arrow down) while observing through the Peri (F3). Instead, I need to hit cancel (P or mouse button 3) first. [This is to go directly from putting the gunner on target and then observe the shot.] I have tried remapping the functions to different keys and mouse buttons, no luck. Tutorial "16 Leo 2A4 TC B" mission text describes that both these things should work. Would really appreciate help in making both of these work again! Cheers, Martin
  7. Mark, my HD has 250GB, so I wasn't too concerned about partitioning it. I gave Win XP 50GB of that, but will redo it, giving the Windows partition only 32GB. At 32GB you can format the Windows partition without using NFTPS, thus making it readable and writeable under Mac OS. That should be plenty of room for Win XP, SB and maybe a couple of other games. You can probably get away with an even smaller Win partition on your MacBook. Cheers, BlackIce P.S.: Shot, my earlier link takes you to the Apple article which links to the Boot Camp download.
  8. Is it fate, is it coincidence? The same day that my copy of SB Pro PE arrives, Apple releases Boot Camp! I am now running SB Pro PE on an iMac with dual core Intel processor. 8) SB is very, very fast, even at 1440x900. Check it out: http://www.apple.com/pr/library/2006/apr/05bootcamp.html This is fantastic. Now I don't need a new PC and can scrap the old one. I love my Mac! :heartpump:
