  1. Starting from the original Pro PE, here's what I'm doing. If I get to the end this can serve as a guide for others. Whether I succeed or not, I submit the following to eSim as evidence that getting their product working is a tedious experience even with my fast ISP, and would benefit from some automation or consolidation. Install original disk - version 2.251. (A few days later...) Download 2.262, extract 2.262, start to install. Discover that this requires the latest CodeMeter patch. Download CodeMeter patch. Install. Restart computer, because CodeMeter insists. Try to install 2.262 - wizard requires original CD. Locate CD, insert. Error 1500: Another installation is in progress. You must complete that installation before continuing this one. Retry doesn't work. A minute later Retry mysteriously works. Download 2.273. Extract 2.273. Apply 2.273 patch. Works great, and very fast. Download 2.304, extract, discover that 2.273 wasn't necessary. Apply 2.304. Oooh, that looked like scenarios, maybe. Download 2.328, extract 2.328. Requires DirectX 9c. Sweet, I have that! Download 2.328 Hotfix, doesn't need to be extracted. Run. Seems to work. Start to download 2.370 - wait a minute, this doesn't overwrite the existing one. Do I need it at all? Hopefully I don't. What version are people playing online these days, anyway? Do they all have 2.460? Cross fingers. Skip 2.370. Order 2.460. Wait. Perhaps eSim is angry with me for not having 2.460 already, and this is my punishment.
  2. I merely liked Watchmen, because I'm not able to stop thinking about all the detail that's in the book that the movie wasn't able to show. (And shouldn't have, or it would have been six hours long and unwatchable. But still.)
  3. On that scale, Iron Man is a 1 and all movies ~(Iron Man) are zero*. Rawwwrrr! Iron Man!!! (airhumping) (You're not going to get a lot of useful information out of me once you invoke Iron Man.) * Highlander and Tron are, on some level, Iron Man.
  4. My 11-year-old liked it. I liked all the parts that were in the trailer and every scene with Scarlett in it. Looking at her makes me feel funny.
  5. The character does talk about the ice crashing down on them which made my eyebrows dart upward. I figured there must be steel structures on top, massive enough to drag it down once the ice pack broke up. They said they probably won't have the accelerator suits in the next one, because they were such a pain to film. Given that the accelerator suit chase sequence was my favorite part of the whole movie, I was displeased to hear this.
  6. I did. I'm not dignifying it with a response.
  7. I try to get back into it every 6-9 months. There are two templates for what happens next. Template 1 a) Consult patch/update notes. b) Download latest patches. Install. c) Attempt to launch SB. Get cryptic CodeMeter error. d) Download latest CodeMeter version. Install. e) Get cryptic CodeMeter error. f) Wonder if I should have completely uninstalled SB/CodeMeter before trying to patch. g) Play World of Warcraft or Mount & Blade. Template 2 a) Somehow get SB working. b) Plug in crappy overcomplicated joystick. c) Struggle with controls. d) Do horribly, become despondent. e) Play World of Warcraft or Mount & Blade. I do keep trying, though.
  8. I didn't come up with this. I saw it somewhere, couldn't find it again today so reproduced it.
  9. There isn't a whole lot, but I found some chatter about that fight here: http://www.steelbeasts.com/sbforums/showthread.php?t=4631&page=2 I think I gave both sides gimpy ammo, to make the whole exercise more forgiving as we struggled to get into position. 10. Hello folks, iPowerWeb, the host for 29tharmor.com, made a concerted effort to murder the site a couple weeks ago. They failed only because I had backed everything up in late June. I'm now in the process of finding a new host, and I will have the AFK and AFKPro available again as soon as I can manage, on 29tharmor.com and probably through the SB Wiki. I apologize for the outage, and thanks for your continuing support. Hell Hound
  11. I ran* Rule the World, and Dr. Device ran Battlefield:Neutralia if I'm remembering the names correctly. Daskal, please contact me if there's any way I can contribute to the new project. Mine didn't turn out the way I'd hoped but if advice or old files can help you, they are yours. * I had enormous amounts of help, of course, and can tell you about that if the information is useful.
  12. World of Warcraft, mostly. The new hardware I bought to play SB Pro doesn't run SB Pro worth a damn. However I just rejoined the SALH last week so I should be around here a bit more often. Yes. I'd be interested in seeing this - since I can't gun a tank right now it'd be nice if I could at least tell APCs what I want them to do. (If they've been modified to actually do it, I'll be shocked and delighted.)
  13. Are there any screamingly important additions or amendments needed in there? I've cleverly waited three years to give you plenty of time to gather material.
  14. Just finished the survey - could you please throw us a link to the results when you have them ready?
  15. I run the bingo around here > "I'm Ron Burgundy...I'm kind of a big deal."
