  1. I dont think that consoles are that bad - they just have an another purpose than "hardcore" PC stuffs. Actually I'm thinking about getting a PS3 or XBOX360 for myself (I wanna check out GTAIV ) Sometimes it just would feel right after a hard day grabbing the console for short time, forgetting about everything and having some easy but thrilling entertainment. Besides I've been quite an arcade junkie for many many years in the past (Mortal Kombat 2 RULEZ )

    Bloom-HDR Mod

    From the readme: After game start the mod deactivated by default, to activate it use key combination (for GTASA shift+f12 by default) I haven't tried it yet - but I will check it out, looks like a pretty interesting stuff.

  6. I think importing DTED files are only available in the Pro version - at least I saw an import DTED file option in the map editor of the Pro version which I cannot recall to be present in Pro PE. But I would really be interested in those DTED files you are talking about

  8. I think it would be a great "addition" if trees would be more "interactive", mainly the HE rounds / Artillery strikes should have an effect on them. Trees are already "modelled" as destroyable by tanks if you ram them - the same effect should be applied when HE rounds / HE artillery hits forested areas - for example after a HE artillery strike about 20-30% of the trees should be destroyed in the target area. Since the desctuction of the trees is already modelled - this shouldn't be too hard to implement, just apply the same effect when hit by HE as with ramming them. Just my 2 cents.

  13. Well even "SB3" has more likelyness then this - but I think its OK this way. SB is unique because some of the models and equipment we get to use in this SIM are modelled as realistic as possible... even if this goes only for 10% of the vehicles that we have. Opening up the code would cause more harm than good IMO. I think its enough that we are able to change some parts of the SIM to our own taste that do not influence the simulation itself (like skins, textures and sounds).

    I'll have to wait for the PC version or get a PS3 if those bastards don't release it on PC Besides I've never ever seen a game hyped in the media like this - even in the Hungarian news pages it was on the mainpages and reviews published everywhere. I'm really keen on it as weel - can't wait to get my hands on it.
