  1. I will not be able to attend on the 6th. Mission 1. Mech Pl (12) - Mission 2. As Required - Mission 3. Mech Pl (21) -
  2. It took The U.S. Years, with highly motivated, and trained troops to take large Urban areas in Iraq like Mosel, and Ramadi. This time around those areas will be better defended by more determined, more experienced, better trained enemy. Civilians will be used as shields on every corner and building. IED's every step, suicide bombers in every hole, RPG's behind every corner. Use of air power will have to be limited to avoid civilian losses. The false borders drawn up in the Middle East by European Imperial powers after WW1 will are no more. There is a reason the U.S stayed in Europe, S. Korea, Japan for decades after major war's. Imagine leaving S. Korea 5 years after the conflict. This is the same thing.
  3. What "Pisses people off", and what is "Having a good time" Is a matter of opinion. IMO If a Co has to piss some people off to get the results He wants then so be it. The Co's only concern is the completion of the mission, not to motivate or coddle individual players. Each player must put aside His vision of what the battle should be and submit fully to his Co. If the Result of this submission negative, then that will sort itself out also. In short the Co Must have vision and passion for what he does. If I am under that type of Command I had a good time win or loose.
  4. Making the shot in a range is one thing. Making it in the heat of battle is quite another. Getting in the proper position to get the Kill is 95% of the equation. Hitting what You see quickly is the other 5%.
  5. Wow 18 tanks kills! I assume he had a Sherman variant? Every Tank His Crew took out was probably able to take Him out in one shot. Most stories I hear of Allied tank situations in and around Normandy are usually tales of disaster.
  6. The liabilities that smaller states might have to suffer from obtaining Nuke capabilities are little. The gains they instantly achieve are immeasurable, and permanent.
  7. How Russia will play this out is not what concerns Me. It is the Wests reaction up until this point that makes Me prepare for duck and cover drills.
  8. The Western worlds struggle to contain Russia has been Red Vrs Blue since before the Napoleonic wars. That is Why We are so concerned about this new Russian tool of war, and the reason for this Thread. The #1 reason for the use of this Simulator by any nation that uses it. Not because We think it is cool, but We may have to face it directly or through proxy.
  9. Imagine being the driver sitting there with the Generals looking right at Him as they hook up the tank for towing:( He would probably feel better dying on the battlefield. With the technological advancements of the new Russian Kit, I wonder how this will affect Western Nations doctrine and tactics? A lot of what was done in the past was tailored to face the ability of t-xx MBT's. The West now has to plan to face their possible Equal on the battlefield. With any luck the Russians will deploy the Armata in some conflict and be put through it's paces in a Real World situation. I don't want to see these things used against anyone in an aggressive manor, but We need to know it's capabilities and liabilities asap. Some rebels cell phone footage of it taking some RPG, IED, or ATM fire would be gold for Western planners. The books May have to be rewritten.
  10. Mission 1. Mech Pl (12) - Mission 2. As Required - Mission 3. Mech Pl (21) -
  11. Thanks for the battle, I look forward to the next session.
  12. Russia introduces one of the most potent MBT's in the world for production in large numbers. Germany introduces a light IFV. IMO Europe does not need equipment for a Light Air mobile task force designed for peace keeping missions. They need lot's of heavy defense oriented equipment that does not need to move farther than their Borders. The cold war is Hot again and the light mobile attitude has to change. All that aside it is a nice piece of kit.
  13. None of this means anything as long as Europe is in bed with Putin and the Natural Gas He provides. I wish The U.S.A. would sell Europe it's Natural Gas and cut the Russian cord. We have plenty of it here, but selling it is considered more evil than Putin In the U.S. these days. I hear it gets cold in Eastern Europe so I don't see things changing any time soon. Russia is taking advantage of the easy pickings, and will continue to do so until a strong anti-Russian orientated NATO Military presence is restored. The Stereotypical American's are the ones that don't know ISIS from ICE Cream, and voted for Obama twice. The Stereotypical American is becoming Something like Spain, France, Greece. Don't give a good god damn about anything as long as they get there 3 months vacation, free college, free Healthcare, free housing, gime gime gime. If I was the Stereotypical American things would be better IMO.
  14. Europe liquidates their armed forces, and allows Russia to control their most important natural resources, and take over sovereign countries. On their doorstep no less. Now they want the Evil U.S. to do something about it. Save the day for Europe again! Must Be nice in Europe. Lots of free stuff, get drunk all day, wasting away living in a fantasy world. Can always count on the Evil U.S.A to save the day. Just sit In Your dirty diaper and We will come change You when the time comes.:remybussi:
  15. I Co'ed last week, I am not eligible to volunteer. Plus I am still sore from the wooping Colebrook put on My team last week. Orange, and Blue Co should get together at least once before the battle to make sure Your plans Jive.
  16. My work has Me only able to play Fri, Sat, Sun, now.
  17. Afraid so. Time marches on.
  18. I am interested in playing on the weekends. There are plenty of Co-ops on the weekends, but HTH is what I am about. I will be around next weekend to participate.
  19. June 6, 2015. 71 years since Operation Overlord, 14 years to the day, of My life with SB. I planned on throwing back a few brews in memory of relatives that served in WW2 to celebrate the invasion. The kickoff of Rolling Thunder 2015 would be a perfect way to celebrate the other thing.
