Does anyone know who designed this great scenario?
There is a problem with the brief in that whoever "holds" the obj for 10 min.. is the winner.. but game does not end.. and once Cave and I played it as a ladder game, and I got in first and held with 2 tanks for 14 min.. and got Victory message and then Cave came busting in and destroyed all my tanks and put 5 in the town for just over 10 min.. but I got no message.. and saw no Victory flash for him.. but in de-brief.. scoring.. I showed Victory with 680 pts.. and Cave said he had 980pts.. and claimed Victory..
I'm not questioning Cave here.. not at all, but Lonny and I tried to re-create this same situation.. and Lonny got the Victory with 680pts and I had 4 tanks in there for the last 28 min of game.. and recieved 0 pts and major defeat...
So if anyone has some answers.. would be appreciated.. thanks.. Ls :D

Howdy Lone.
Looking at this popular scenerio has some mission misunderstandings from alot of players.
There are 2 areas in this game that tells you the mission, first is where you go to choose the scenerio and the other after you already pick the game and are at the briefing page for the team you picked. I will quote what both of them say.
1st one says:
Capture Ghost Town before your enemy! to ensure victory hold Ghost Town for 10 minutes.
2nd one says:
Capture Objective Ghost Town and hold it for at least 10 minutes.
So when I read this briefing leads me to believe that the first one to hold the town for 10 minutes is the winner and when this happens you get the victory message. I would think the game would be over? But then there are others who think it should go the whole 40 minutes no matter what. This can be confusing because depending on the above can call for 2 different strategys. Maybe we need to versions one where the last team holding town with most tanks left is the winner? This could be a real disaster for ladder missions the way it is now

I belive that I'm guilty ;)
There is no way to end the game when the victory condition is, unfotunately.
I suggest that you play in these ways (until I have refinished it).
-Victory is determined either by host who end game when victory conditions are set.
-Play the full time (40 mins)

Alpha.. You have no idea how liked Ghost town is.. besides the little faults in it.. it can, and has, been played the way you suggest.. with one exception.. the M1 side has 14 units consisting of a CO and XO tank .. and the Leo side has but one CO tank and no XO tank, making it a tank short (13) of what the M1's have.. FYI :D
And once again.. great scenario. Ls :thumbup:

Thanks LS it feels great to have done something good for the community!
I will look into the scoring conditions and make some suggestions in the briefing how to play it!
I first made the scenario when I was a member of the 1AC (1. armored company) thats why its called 1AC Leo Company vs M1 Company, may 1AC rest peacefully in it's tomb.
The Leo´s has two mayor advantages;
1. A awesome enginge sound ;)
2. A3 sabots....

:) Alhpa.. I'm not sure if it was a dream or my mind was on it.. but how about 2-4 hmmv's per side.. for scouting out the enemy positions? Ls :P
P.S. A3 ammo for both.. fair and final for both sides.. :thumbup:

I could add recon sections. But I don't know if the play balance would improve if both sides had A3, Leo's tend to have a softer "skin" if you know what I mean ;).
I consider the scenario free and open for modifications by everyone, feel free to do the adjustments you like.
