I was wondering what new features/content/changes you guys would like to see here @ steelbeasts.com? I'll put together my own list and try to make the changes if at all possible.

Umm,, maybe a slight redesign to target new people coming to the site and particularly the chat room. Too the point,, i think some come in for the first time and say to themselves,,"hmm, no one plays here, so im off to buy a new game" The chat room is usually barren. Could there be some extra tools that we can use such as,, "lurking" or "brb", or "surfin the web" notification of some kind tagged too our name or something, or something to show howmany visited today, and when they were last in the room. I know there are stats for this on the main site, but ya have to dig a little to find that. Maybe redesign the display of the options on the pull down menu's by order of most frequently used, or at least show the chat room option right out in front so as to get a new "eager to play noob" right into the game, or better yet, a bulletin board to post a message saying, "hey, its me so-and-so, and i plan to be on at this time this week",, now, those coming here can look at the board and plan to come in when they see that post. Hell,, even model and texture it to look like a war room bulletin board.
Use gauges and dials,,and hand crank wheels in stead of the current links, where you click on the text. Label a gauge for the forums, animated gun for the chat room, etc. I hope you get the idea. Some flavor of tanks, rusted steel, burnt steel,,,shell casings,,,something to get you in the mood, and even teach us a bit about the real life war gear... whatever,,experiment.
Most of all,, i always love a site that keeps it simple so you can get right to the point. Make the important stuff up front, put the lesser details secondary. No clutter, unless the subject matter of that site is akin to it.
I think you've done a kickass job already, but there is always room for improvement. I dont know what you have to work with, so thats why im giving somewhat broad suggestions. And they are only suggestions,,,,,, since you asked.
So,, to sum it up,,,,, Accessability, and Flavor.
Keep up the good work!

Lmao... :D I'm just laughing at myself and the idea of "cranking guages" and what not...Heck, I'd be in all my glory if I could get past Comcast's interface to just load files onto the space they provide! I beat my problem in my own way..and I will be the 1st to applaud any 'graphically cool' improvements...but the 'getting where you mean to go and get done' is the important part.
ps: Speaking of..How and the hang does that random condition work!? Yes, I will need an example.

Yes this site is a litle something else to navigate. Gets lost in all the things to do.
Maybe take away from the main page and break it down so it is a quick click to the forums or to chat..
The two main things of this place .. At least I think so..
Maybe what I'm saying is just declutter the front room :)
And kill that damn thing that tell's me I have 3 messages >> when I have none
- chat with more than one channel active
- better ways to sort people in the users DB (by location, by date of registration, etc.)

A chat resource that can handle longer nicknames.
I think we can agree we don't want names like
----xxxxXXXX#### DETHSTAHRR ####XXXXxxxx----
but I'd like to be able to put in something like [29AR]Hell_Hound.
Aside from that I can't think of anything that's really missing from SB.com. If anything, as already mentioned, there are so many resources that the most commonly-used ones are a bit daunting to find.
OH! Big one! The PM-announcement window pops up, and insists on remaining on top. Irritating. Please fix.
