View Full Version : Merchandise

OK, guys.
Sometimes we get mail from companies producing merchandise. Once in a while there are quite good offers that may be of interest to you. Before we're going to invest in stuff that nobody wants, we thought it might be better to ask you what YOU would like best.
Once that we know what it'll be, we're going to ask how it should look like. I'll also investigate if we can arrange personalized small series so that, say, virtual units could have the coffee mug with the Steel Beasts logo on one side and the virtual unit's badge on the other (just an example).

Please be serious, and try to vote just once.

I voted coffee mug - preferably a wide-bottomed travel mug that I could take to the field (good conversation piece, and I'm surrounded by potential customers ;) ).

roller blades with tracks?

I voted for the game but if Esim sold a T-Shirt with a T-80 and M1 squared off on it with SB2 on the back I would buy that.

Greetings all,

Yes I would agree that a good sized self standing tip proof coffee mug goes a long way to advertizing the good name of Steel Beasts, and won't roll off the commanders hatch ring either. Sorry, lost my favorate coffee cup that way. Next tank drove over it, so sad.... ...Driver did the 3-5am radio watch for that...
Ok back to the "stuff", even if the (coffee) mug is not used, it still can make a very nice display. Solid shiny black mug with whichever Logo's displayed. (solid green, for field use.)
And it seems that whatever military mess you've belonged to, when you leave, get promoted, or posted you get a mess mug with the base and mess logo emblazed. [ all to go on display on the " I love me Wall " ] Ha Ha ...lol
Sorry ...military joke....

The T-shirt idea has been done to death ...for years now. ( been there, done that, got the t-shirt) Now the base ball cap's may work in some places, after many years of wearing various head dress mostly beret the old knoggon misses having something on it all the time. And if I don't wear the caps, they get hung neatly and orderly on the " Wall " lol

Wrapping this response up ..yes there is a place for merchandise. And as long as the moneys get returned to E-sim (Only) , not the distrubitor, this can assist with future SB "Expansion Packs"
Ps: a downloadable copy of the SB2 logo or something within the game packaging would be nice.
As I'd like to get a nice logo embroidered on a good " WindRiver " jacket. (copyright protection ?) Advertising promotional..

Ok enough dribble... Later 9erRed out

I' ll go for the coffe mug, like the ones made by Stanley. Shock proof, when it's closed no spill, keeps the coffe warm for hours and I will bring it with me on the rigs.

Very good idea...

Grenny
12-04-2003, 08:19 PM
I'll go for the coffee mug too.

Or perhaps these little plastic-cups that i got from sweden...don't know their name, but you can fold them so the fit into your leg-pockets.

And 9er..they even mays survive "tank-contact" as they are very flexible)

(on the other hand...maybe they are too small for a logo)

An alarm clock in the shape of Abrams or Leo where its written : SB the Best tank Sim, published by e-Sim games, and with sound of a tank firing machinegun and main gun to wake up poeple so that they are in condition to face the whole hard and cruel day which is only beginning... :nukem2:

Um,... How about a SteelBeast monogrammed Nomex suit?

Or a Plushy Ssnake doll?

Maybe an Al Delaney action figure?

Perhaps a Sounds of SteelBeasts CD?

Or an Limited Edition Collectors Sacrifical List Knife!

I've seen Personalized PC's with different Game logo's maybe one with an Esim or SB2 logo......

Something every Tank-Boy & Tank-Girl would want, An Offical Esim endorsed set of Caddilacs.

NO?!? OK... Just gimme the Java Jar.

How about prophylactics with the SB logo and "Sabot Up !" on it ?
maybe the M1 logo'ed ones could glow in the dark to simulate the DU round ?

12-19-2003, 04:35 AM
How about an R Lee Ermey TC that screams Profanities at the driver or "Battlesight Tank!!! etc.
Then again a cool ESIM logo stcker in the SB2 box would look great on my tower.

:helmet: Mapman to get a headset like Black6 has,you have to go to the nearest
canadian forces supply sect. and tell them that you want a TCCC's AFV
headset. Be ready to either 1. sign your life away on a 638 card or
2. fill out a lost kit report ( short version ) then hand them about 2000.00
cdn. dollars for a new one. ( P.S. you got to give the new one back when you
are done with it, all cleaned up. )
Hope you don't want the helmet as well, that is a sepperate item
it only cost 188.58 cdn. :cvcsalute:

I still like the Old Classic "GUNNER SABOT TANK" T-Shirt that has the M-1 Gunner sight trained on a Soviet tank.

then on the back you could have the Soviet Tank Burring with the Turret Flying 200 feet in the air and have Steel Beasts written in Flames

And a radio with an alarm that has the following:

That i had said....traditionnal alarm are not effective. so we are like zombies whereas, with this alarm type, its easy to wake up. Or instead of a main gun, a 12.7 machinegun continuously firing could not be bad...

While this does not lead to free items, a case or 2 of beer is much cheaper than a new CVC.

In my opinion it is best to say the truth.
You was on a exercise and at night you went for a pee. and suddenly you discovered a scary fast beast like a pig(but then bigger and lives in a forest srry i don't no the english word for it.) You ran for your live and lost the headset. After a great search party you couldn't find it.

Now if that is not creative i don't know what is.

In my opinion it is best to say the truth.

The truth is the bane of every thinking person in any military organization and should only be used when:

A) No other excuse will do
B) No other excuse is necessary
C) Every other possiblity has been considered and rejected on grounds of feasibility

I was in for twelve years. I spoke the whole truth, and nothing but the truth maybe twice.
