Hi eagleeye. Have you tried using ALT+TAB? I have a similar issue that occasionally pops up and it is easily solved that way.

WOW!! EE, first shot looks like Moggys Mud modification, and the second one looks like a snow mode, and the third one.. no guess..
I suppose you already tried a re install over the old install?

i had that one in the menu screens as well. try scanning your comp for viruses, and the SB file. i had this virus messing up steel beasts, and making it freeze and crash, as well as showing off artifacts, and psychedelic colours.
or reinstall steel beasts, or... windows.
btw, i get this ugly search thing in google, i have no idea what it is. every 2nd time i search in google, i get referenced to some weird search site when trying to open a page. the second time i go on the page, it shows.

I get something simialr, when i start SB program and then exit it through windows tab, when i go back, colors all screwy, silver and gold and red and purple, been like that since day one. Reinstalled, same thing. only happens when i am online, never offline.happens if i just go to teamspeak, or back to chat.anytime i get interrupted, colors go wacky, be it norton update or popup.Doesnt matter if i hit alt tab, does same thing. is annoying cause i need to exit to switch channels on teamspeak

Boy oh boy, it sure sounds like your machines are infected at least by some sort of spyware (or "Ad-ware" dear friends of Claria, better known as Gator), trojans, or actual viruses. I don't know which one it is, but the fact that one anti-virus program doesn't find them doesn't mean there is nothing wrong. If you really want to be sure, run at least two or three independent AV engines. Anyway, the safest method is a backup of your personal data, format C:, and then a Windows reinstallation. The registry must be replaced at all cost!

There is a central database since Windows 95 where all application specific settings and a lot of other info are stored. It is possible to launch applications through certain registry settings. I can't give you a complete overview about the Registry though. Should you get the idea to manually change entries, keep in mind that you can render your system unusable with some changes. If you don't know what you're doing you should probably NOT touch the Registry.

thats my plan im gonna get this upgraded
Don't know if this will help, but the screen shots look similar (though worse) to a problem I've hit on occasion. I find that sometimes certain colors/pixels have shifted to incorrect (bright) colors. Sometimes rebooting resolved it but sometimes it didn't. I then happened on a fix which was to jump to the desktop and start a printscreen program that I have (Gadwin Printscreen), stop it, then jump back to SB and the colors would all be as they should be. It's like some portion of video memory had been corrupted and the printscreen program reinitialized it (or some such). Anyway, whenever I have this happen now, I just take the steps mentioned above and the problem is resolved.

Spybot does a great job of finding and killing spyware.
