Infantry orders

After a brief and fruitless search on the forums...

Is there a way to order embarkation of infantry? After ordering the dismounted squad to recon ahead a ways, I can't seem to get them back on their track to move to the next OP. Am I missing a command or route order? Or must I simply wait for them to get thier @#$! together and remember that they are mechanized infantry? :shock:

No specifc command, but:
You have to get them pretty close to their assigned carrier. Once there, if you give a route to the PC it will wait for the troopies to come back and then move out.

I have a question now: If you have a PC that looses its troops, and some troops that lost their ride, will the AI let the orphans get together?

In my experience...once that track is gone, the troops are hoofin' it. No going back to pick up stragglers, no combining of squads to save their little digital butts from the next arty strike.

I try to be a compassionate commander, but when they won't get on board and let me save them, there's not a lot left to do!

Try moving the stubble-hoppers back to their ride (or vice versa) then give the APC a move order. Usaully gets the gruntlings to mount up.
