New Guy Question

Hello All,
I just downloaded the SB Demo and got smashed in the Demo Attack...need some more work in the tutorials. :D So I'd like to buy the game and was wondering when SB2 would be coming out. I haven't seen any dates anywhere (though I'm sure I could've missed them) and would rather not purchase SB1 then a few weeks later see SB2. I'm not complaining or trying to start any kind of flame war as I just found this game today, but wanted to know before purchasing.

Get Sb1 - It'll be a little while before SB2 comes out, and everything you learn in SB1 will translate over to SB2 anyway ! - get a headstart on the rest of the SB2'ers !

Don't feel bad, I got totally trounced by the demo also. You can often pickup SB1 in a "battlepack" with two other games for around $9.00 in Western Canada. It will be the best $9.00 you will have spent!

Well, I guess I'll go and pick up SB1 then. Where's the best place to get it? Colin mentioned you can find it in western Canada, but I live in eastern US. I saw it on eBay for pretty cheap, but am not sure if the disk comes with documentation or if it's hard copy...none of them had the hardcopy. Also, is there more than one version of SB1?

You want SB Gold if possible - if not, you can d/l the patches/updates from E-Sim to get current.
Look for ver 1.226 on the splash screen in the upper right corner IIRC.
You might try the bargain bins of some of the comp stores.

Thanks for the advice. I just ordered SB and should receive it just in time for the holidays...or shortly after. That means you should be killing me regularly by early 2004. :D
