Is there any possibility, that I can simulate a ammo reload during a battle? Maybe a special area that you could drive to, and reload?

Only way I can think of is to create a region with computer-controlled tanks sitting in it - and when you drive x tanks into that area and hit a trigger, x new tanks become computer-controlled.

And if you do that, the player would have to be honor-bound to leave the original tanks in the replen area.

But any battle damage would miraculously be repaired that way too.

In SB1 there is no way to achieve this. Keep in mind tough that for company level battles it would be an extremely rare case of a truckload of manure being dumped into a big fan if an entire company was to spend its main gun loadout within one hour - 500+ rounds of 120mm ammunition...

Well I was just thinking, there has been a couple of times while playing a scenario I've run out of ammo. I was still retaining about 85% accuracy, but there were just so many targets.

It would be nice to be able to pull up to a damaged tank and swap ammo or at least equalize the load. I have ended up with fulloperational tanks with expended ammo and damged tanks (turret, FCS,engine, tracks) with a full load, it would be great to have an option to top up the tank from others in the game.

Greetings,

Ref the Ammo loadouts and setting up individual units with different loadouts within a company/Sqn. Thats a rather normal thing within the Canadian units, depending on the current or anticapited mission. If theirs a firebase to be established for an assult then those vehicles would do an emergency bomb up with the A1 Echelon to top off their HEAT/HESH. The A1 Ech. travels about a Km behind the forward elements and carries Ammo and Fuel only.

Now read Ssnakes reply carefully " In SB1 there is no way to achieve this. "

All for now.. ..9erRed

I have red that exactly the fast emptied racks have been the big problem of the Israelis during various wars with the Arabs and that the main reason why Merkavas have the rear hull doors is to be quickly reloaded during the battle for firing after the further masses of incoming targets :).
