Using M829A2 sabot. Center,lase, drop sight 1 click. Burn the beggars. That was my first and longest shot to date. Kinda like making a hole in one... 8) While you are drunk and blind folded :twisted:

I thought about that a3 ammo and it does give me a signifihant advantage, so i down graded to A2. Still that t-80 took me track off at the same range, maybe i should go back to the A3. :|

What is the maximum visibility range in SB1?

I am playing steel beasts gold. The laser goes out to 4000m then starts flashing when you lase beyond that.

Max visibility range in SB is 5000m I believe .

They wrote the max visibility range somewhere in the manual... I think it's 5km, too.

i have repeaditly tried to imutate that shot its not a possible shot 4210 was longest sight pic i could get i tried me elevated him not him elevated me not flat ground and both elevated 4210 longest sight ive heard of or seen

well, i've been shooting at tanks at 5km by elevating the gun over the max laser range. not a 1 shot kill though.
what's really cool is picking a slow round, fire it at the other tank, switch tanks, and see the bullet whizz past your head :)

I am amazed how good the target looks in the screenshot. At 4500 meters you would be lucky to see it at all in thermal. Were you using a Desert map? IMHO, SB assumes your TIS works perfectly and viewing conditions are optimal. Not complaining though, really! :)
