Lets be real - SB has been out for well over 2 years. Granted it has staying power but not that much. It's a niche game, always has been always will.

When SB2 comes out - well - then we may crack a thousand but not by many (1200 or so total I'd guess).

We all really like this game but guys lets get real! We're in the minority of gamers out there.

If one copy of SB2 has a mass of .5kg (ballpark figure...the manual's pretty big) then the molar mass of SB2 would be 3.01x10^23kg, which is 4.8% of the mass of the Earth. I could play with those numbers all day, but I'll restrain myself.

Secondary poll: Pick the exact date that LoneStar surpasses Ssnake on the "Sort by Number of Posts" list. :D

Given that there are 6x10^9 potential customers, each would need to buy 10^14 copies. Since they are to be sold on day one, they'd all be at full price, requiring a discretionary buying power of at least 4x10^15 US dollar. Four thousand trillion dollars probably exceed the world gross domestic product by about a factor of thousand or so, and we haven't even talked about the logistical effort to mass distribute the copies, or the environmental consequences of the production itself. In all honesty, I rather be a poor man on a planet that's in a condition to support my life than to spit on Bill Gates in a global wasteland full of SB2 copies.
