I'm in chat right now with two other players, and there are precious few scenarios that play well as two-on-ones unless there's a skill mismatch. Would a "free-for-all" setting be feasible to allow 3 or 5 players to each have a platoon and have the AI consider all other tanks as enemy?

With 3 playable tanks the 3-way FFA could have great potential...

At this point that's not our focus. But you may still like what you will get with SB2 as far as MP is concerned. We can always start working on something like this in subsequent updates. I don't want tthe project plan be inflated by feature creep at this point.

Nobody wants that. :D And this request falls more into the "game" than the "simulation" category, I realize...but 2:00 on Sunday morning when there's three players in the chat room, having the 3-way FFA option would be sweet.

Agreed Werewolf, not sure if this feature belongs in SB2. Its got nothing to do with real tanking. :-)

I've never played Quake or Unreal, so I can neither confirm nor deny.

SB plays fantastically as a wargame or as a tactical combat game, and rejecting either aspect seems wrongheaded to me. Some days I'm in the mood for map recce and terrain walks and painstaking planning, and some days I just want to blow shit up.

But we already have both.
