Couple of questions I couldn't find in the FAQ

hey fellas, just wondering a couple of things that i can't find in the FAQs.

1.) Will there be able to be Multiple crewed Vehicles in MP games?

2.) Will the Tank Commander be modelled on the outside of the vehicles? purely eye candy I know, but i forgot me real second question! :p

will things such as game commander and shoot be able to be supported by steel beasts professional and SB2? as this would add a great amount of immersion for things like artillery calls and directing cre from the TC position.

We do that now. You can have a gunner in F6 and a TC in F7 at the same time. They can "speak" to each other on the tank net or by pressing such keys as I,T,W,X,Backspace etc.

The TC is able to override the Gunner if he spots a target (really neat on the Leo). We call this FMT or Fully Manned Tanks and have MP battles that way sometimes.

Right now the TC is modeled in the TC seat on top of the turrent with the hatch up or closed (hit the B key before the tree branch takes your head off :shock: )

You should take the time to go through the tutorials to learn everything you can do now with SB1 then look at the screen shots for SB2 here:

MM, i thin that Farkitt means that if you hit F8, you'd be able to see the TC sticking out of the hatch.

Given that we're supposed to be able to move the TC up and down in the hatch to obtain a desired balance between vision and safety, and that IIRC snipers were mentioned at some point, it's just about certain that the TC will be visible.

No official word on it yet, though.

Mapman, I actually don't own SB1, but i am going to purchase SB Pro and SB2 on thier release.

I don't know if I told you guys this, but i have an application into the Royal Australian Army as a Leopard Crewman. I got told the position is closed fore 3months though :evil: , then i remembered that us aussies are gonna be gettin Abrams Tanks next year, sounds as if they don't want to be training people how to drive leopards anymore eh?

That reminds me, The Aussies operate both the Leopard 1 and the M113, and will soon operate the Abrams, will the be a country option for Australia in either SB2 or SB pro?

I havn't even tried SB1 as it happens, but i have windows XP and a Radeon 9800, so i don't wanna be playing around with settings gettin it to run when SB pro is out so soon!

I'll keep lurking around here and take on board various advice tho.

it's not that i don't wanna play it BD, but i'm gettin my comp back next week cos it was stuffed. so i don't want to be toying with settings and the like getting old games to run. if i could run it on XP wit my vid card then i definatly would want to.

I've got a new Dell 8300 with XP and a Radeon 9800 pro card and SB1 runs fine on it. Tweaking your settings shouldn't be an issue . . .
