WASHINGTON, D.C. – Typically he’d be riding in a tank at Hohenfels, Germany. Today Spc. Bruce Brade (right), of 1-4 Infantry Regiment, Combat Maneuver Training Center, Hohenfels, is firing a tank simulator indoors at the Association of the United States Army 2002 Annual Meeting. Brade, with the direction of Staff Sgt. Warren Desira of the 7th Army Noncommissioned Officer Academy, Grafenwoehr, is moving an M60A1 tank over a computerized battlefield and testing a “Fire Control Stabilization Upgrade Kit built by Cadillac Gage. Brade and Desira are among the more than 20 soldiers who are here representing USAREUR and learning about the Army’s newest trends and technology. The AUSA annual meeting is the largest gathering of U.S. Army affiliated professionals worldwide, and runs for three days, Oct. 21-23, in the nation’s capital.
