I was wondering if you are or ever were in the Lone Star Divvy. And if so when did you go through basic? I went in July of 92 and out of the 150 guys in my company about half were from Texas and were going to the Lone Star Divvy. I know chances are slim that we ever met, But there is still a chance. I was in E company 1/81 armor and it was the first NG pure training company. After that I went to 1/101 Cav in NYC.

Welcome aboard SKM..
It's a long story, but I was called back in 68 for Vietnam, but was rejected for being alergic to wool, but the LS 49 came about for several reasons..
Back around 94, I was moved to collect patches from all Military branches, mainly USAF, and Navy, but for some reason which I am still not sure why, I was moved to get 2 of the USMC, and 4 of the
Army..
In 97, while recovering from 2 broken heels, I wrote my memiors, (took 9 months) some 290 pages worth, which included a vision I had, that included all the patches I had collected..
I did not know it at the time, other than the part of the L*S 49 was the year of my birth..
But, being somewhat of a loner, along with a big change in my life in 95, it all made since to me, why the L*S 49 emblem.. I'm still basically a loner, the lone star in the sky appeared some 2000 yrs ago (birth of Christ) and I was born in 49..
So, I took the avatar and name for SB back in 2000, when I became a SB community member and started my first ever, and only, online MP activity, along with, as a kid, I knew I wanted to fly like my dad did, but the tank had a fixed place in my ground assult war-thoughts.. lol
So, nope, never in the military, and learned all that I know from the SB members of the old guard back in 2000, thru 2003, by then, most have dissappeared, but I carry-on the fights/battles, as best I know how, in their memeory, along with, as far as I know, am the only, and oldest, active SB memeber with over 10,000 personal kills, on the record, from my SB stats (game files).. and somedays, I strike fast, and clean, and disurpt lives of others in SB, and other days, I fall by the sword as well..
I've lost count of how many I have given instruction and adivse to in SB MP, but you'll know them, if ya run across their guns and tactics, along with some of the remaining old gaurd that taught me.. lol
I wish you well, with your return to SB, as it had, and has, a steep learning curve, that not many can, or, make the climb. But like yourself, it seems many (of late) have come back in from the SB cold, having had it for years and finally have reached a point in this sim (the challenge) that is unlike any-other sim out there.. And it just gets better (thru, and with, much mental anquish, and reward) that only the real, brave-hearts, out there, and in here, can take..
As you already have found out, either thru Team Speak or SB chat, or the Forums, if you have any questions, just ask..
Good hunting..

I didn't say I was oldest. However, after SBProPE or SB2 comes out, prepare yourself for many harsh lessons in days to come.

Ls there are people who started with the demo, then sb 1 1st version, so i would think you may not be the oldest.
