Saving, and reviewing "Classic Sce's and Maps, that have a life of their own, having been around for so long, yet are played over and over, have a reason for this, along with a purpose, that if saved, and reviewed, will show you how to improve your game by miles, a/o, will keep your game style "sharp".. as well as make new maps and scenario's much eaiser to comprehend and plan for.

Below are 3, out of 7 pics I saved of the sce: Objective Savage.. battled the other day.

This is a 1 hour game, and the shots are from the last 30 mins aporx. of the battle.

Each shot, shows the times (key) in which, and how fast, things can and do happen.

Working from the first shot that shows both *Blue's and* Red's minefield (*see bottom pic) drops and BP's, that on good maps and battle scenarios, I save and study, for the next time..

What you see, is my sides (red) cutting off the complete South Flank with fascam, forcing most of blues movements to center and upper North..

You also see, as I do, and put into memeory, good BP's that worked, and bad ones that didn't, along with Blues BPs that worked, as this was a great close battle..

You' should IMO take color LOS shots to show terrian heights, and keep these for study, in your "Saved Images" files in your C drive Programs E-sim file..

This shot, is for me to make note of Gary Owens BP, and mine, and for me to have LOS on that/his BP next time, and not have a/my unit there..

hmm, also, all pics show very clearly that the seven bps in the NW (140 190 easting) ocupied by those M1s were not very efective

Now seriously, good suggestion LS, my collection is rather small, but have mine too.

I have to thank you - I've wanted to play that scenario a few times, but couldn't remember the name.

I said, "You know, the one with the town in the middle and both teams rush for it", but for some reason that didn't clear things up. ;)

Here is one of my favorites. I had spoted Gunfighter or someone and was expecting him predicting his manouver, but then came nothing, but a shot in the rear  the old trick of the bait and the hunter, I got some of my own medicine. Sherm got 9 personals that day, but Gary, Sean, Kamov and HG still won.

Part One:

Here is "Commander's Test Ladder version.. A2ammo" for both sides, no Fascam, but ICM and HE, 1 company each side M1 and Leo.. This version, Blue/Leo has the high ground, Red/M1 has the low ground. The other version: "Commander's Map" has A1ammo for Blue/M1 on the high ground, and A2ammo Red/Leo on the low ground, and includes ICM, HE, and Fascam.. again, 1 company each side..

Below are some LOS Pics I saved from a battle of this classic sce, that as I said, has a life of its' own, in that, you'll never get bored with it, as it gives you both ways to battle, diff ammo loadouts, and makes for 1 vs 1 or 2 vs 2 OPFOR battles that will sharpen your skills in map planning, reading, splitting of units, routing, and OTF (on the fly) routing with APC's, troops, everthing ya need in a small package.. that in the long run, will improve your bigger sce. maps, and handling of more units in regards to routing, OTF routing, and spliting of units to cover more area, including OW BP's for advancing units..

Start from the bottom Pic, up, for correct times of events.. Note the Artty drops by both of us at the start, as we know each others key BP's to be had in the N.

Part Two:

I think, six Pic's should give you a good idea, of why this is a "Classic Scenario" that as I said, they have a life of their own, and not only offer repeated engagements with 1 or 2 players, but, they sharpen your skills, in map jumping, which is a must to be successful against any Vet.. along with fast, accurate, shooting..

Start with bottom Pic first for correct times of engaments/events..

Note my last Pic directly below, I'm in the black tank, just about to put a sabot in WB's Leo's rear for kill.. but that one Leo did severe damage by getting behind me..

This is "Tschol River".. a classic map and scenario, and comes in 2 versions;

M1 vs Leo, and Leo vs Leo, with A2ammo for both sides..

Good for 2 vs 2 to 3 vs 3..
