This URL will take you to a site that will allow you to take in-game movies while you're fighting. I tried it out about ten minutes ago and it works. That's the good news.

It didn't work very well. That's the bad news. I could be doing something wrong, or maybe the thing only works properly if you've registered (and paid the $30 registration fee), or maybe the thing's a suck-ass piesa.

It also froze the gunner controls and made the turret do odd things, such as spin around fast enough to engage the traverse brake.

Anyway, there it is.

Some people have high tech video hardware and have no need for such things. :-) That said, fraps works ok with proper video settings and a fast CPU.

I dont know, im not the one with all the high tech hardware. As far as fraps, I turned down the video resolution, set the framerate at 25 or 20, and set it to half size?

Now that's a twist.. home SB movies, for when the Parents and Inlaws come over..

Pump up the volume, pre-set the Boom-Box, and tie down the Pictures on the walls..


Gonna pump some blood thru some "in-need" hearts.. :shock:

Gonna have to be carefull though, and rate them PG for Parental Guidence.. :?

If you have two PCs, one with video out, and the other with video in, and a capture software, that might result in better performance. I'm going to try that - but only after the release of SB Pro PE. Can't waste too much time with this.

I uninstalled it after a couple of tries - all it did was lock my screen up.

It worked perectly on my computer... only buzz was that I have demo so its only halfzise and it says www.fraps.com all over the top... but becide that It works perfect...

hmmm ... don't know what I did wrong then ... was set at half screen and 20 fps ... just locked the screen up, and nothing I could do to unlock it.

had no troubles at all with recording stuff from SB2, except bad resolution, and a tad bit o stutter. sound was perfect.

Finally we can compete with Hollywood and make the ultimate war movies like:
- "Steelbeast the movie" followed by
- "Steelbeast 2 - The return of the tankcommander" with a variety of special versions as
- "Steelbeast PE - Directors cut" and "Steelbeast PRO - Extended version".
