Well i guess i should tell you something about myself. I am a 47, live in Georgia near Fort Benning. I served 15 + years in the U.S. Navy. I was released from service in 1999 due to my wifes failing health on a hardship discharge. I served aboard 3 aircraft carriers as a air traffic controller.

I became friends with Travis you know him as armytanker. When my daughter was transfered to Benning. Travis and his wife invited us to dinner. And the rest is history. I watch my grandson my lifes greatest joy. After losing my wife to cancer.

Anyway Travis loaned me this game, got me set up and i now have a entirely new respect for the Army. Well hope to see you all on the battlefield and as soon as i can get a mic in TeamSpeak although i don't talk alot. Till then .

Glad to have you, PR. If you have multiplayer plans, check out the downloads section (http://www.steelbeasts.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index&req=viewsdownload&sid=8) and load up on height maps. It's a major embuggerance when you try to join a game and discover you don't have the proper map.

All the files I linked to go into C:\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\maps\height, or whatever the equivalent is on your drive.

Well good to see im not the only fresh meat to come in. I will take the suggestions and apply them to myself.Although im just starting my military carrer. I leave for basic training after christmas. Then off to armour school then off to hopefully the 4th or 3rd ID. As i see it this will let me have some time prior to deployment to iraq.

Don't be afraid of BW, just make sure you're on our side in a fight... While fighting with 2D, I haven't been on the losing side YET!
