I have a problem with the color on SB. It goes nuts. No matter what I do it goes nuts and it stays that way. It looks like a hippy’s wet dream. I have screen shots of it screwed up. This is the first time that it has stayed that way. What do I do to fix it?

TH...best way to fix your trouble is stop doing non-script drugs....alt-tab then reopen..seems some scenes have a proclivity to get wacky...but this might fix> Ssnake posted.. right click on the tankSim.exe icon>compalibilty>check the 256 box....but all else fails dont buy cheap walmart comps...lol

well, that happened to me as well.
a virus had infected the .exe file.
i suggest doing a virus scan.

Either the palette definitions have become corrupted, or you just changed a graphics driver that for whatever exotic reason has trouble with the 256 color mode. It could be what Deja mentioned, and a virus scan is always a good idea (provided that your scanner is any good). The compatibility setting of 256 colors can be useful. Nevertheless, sometimes things are just wacky. When I reinstalled the original Diablo recently, I noticed that sometimes it would suffer from palette mismatches. I would start it again, and they would be gone. Regardless of what else I was doing, sometimes the colors simply would go wacky.
I know that machines don't do this on their own behalf, just because they want to annoy me. But the reason why this happened is obscure to me. It could be one of those things where I simply don't know what's going on. Fortunately SB Pro PE won't suffer from this since it's no longer using palette shifting.

I had that happen for months because of a joystick driver. The company has since updated the driver, and the problem immediately and completely went away.

I have the compatibility setting on 256. With the virus scan I am doing that right now with McAfee. I hope something comes up.
Also I had reinstalled the SB already.
