Just ran a quick test. If you shoot a unit and the round passes all the way through it to strike another, you'll have hit twice with the same round. I got the same hit percentages as you.

The funny part is that this wasnt during test but in combat, that makes it more funnier =)
Hey WB, You think it was that M1 that U yelled I had contact with but missed my grenad but suddenly it was knocked out on map???

About a year ago somebody lined up a dozen or so soft-skinned vehicles (BRDM? HMMWV?) and drilled them all with a single sabot round. His hit percentage was over 1000%.

Hmm i tryed to line up 14 HMMWV's in diferent formations today, but was only able to get 1 kill/shoot. I used a Leo whit M829A3 ammo.. Whats the trick?

Try it again when you're sober. :)
I didn't think there was any trick; not sure why it wouldn't be working.
The kill line is an old Vaquero idea, its been done. I think the multiple hit in combat conditions is much more satisfying...

Break up the plts of units into single units. Also make them immobile. That would get the job done. Line em up, and shoot.

I took just co and xo's..14 of em.. lined them up and imobilized them, and made them blind.. took the shoot whit A3 ammo, from 10, 100 and about 300 meters.. lined them up in different attitudes and whit different distance between the HMMWv's .. but still just one kill per shot .
Edit** Ofcourse i do not doubt that it has been done, im just wondering what i am doing wrong :)

Keep them at the same altitude. That may be the problem

you should only be able to see one humvee. the others should be behind. lase and blaze. the round will pass through one after the other.

You might also want to put the vehicles on a gentle downslope, if they aren't good and crowded together. Even M829A3 will drop roughly 5 meters below the bore axis over a 1700m flight.

Killed 17 BRDM's from about 150 meters, with one round. I just used Scud's flat height map and split platoons, and then lined everything up. They were all blind of course. It takes awhile to line everything up just right. But it's worth seeing a hit percentage of %1700

Few months ago (in instant action) with the M1 I had a 250% hit percentage by killing some tanks and APCs (live and destroyed) when they where in front of the forest without using the lase but only with the GAS and Sabot rounds
nice to see it...
