Koga, quit using AOL as your main browser. Relying on AOL to keep your computer safe is like relying on a prostitute to keep your daughter from having sex. It just isnt a good idea. Use Mozella to keep from getting many popups.
Also you probably have spyware and viruses. I use SpywareBlaster, Spybot - Search & Destroy, and McAfee. They are pretty good for anti malware. You should be able to get McAfee from AOL, with the other stuff, you gotta go looking for it, or someone will post it here.
What programs do you use for spyware and viruses?

On my computer, with its built in popup blocker, Netscape has stopped 4583 popups in the last couple of months.

AVG Free for the viruses.

Zone Alarm Free for the firewall.

a_Squared, Adaware (lavasoft), spyblaster and spybot for the spyware and malware.

Firefox as a browser, or now IE comes with a pop-up blocker and I downloaded the Google search bar which also has a great pop-up blocker.

I have not had a pop up window for I can not remember how long and when I am at a site that has popups I want (here for instance) one click of a button and popups are allowed and the site remembered.

AVG is a great antivirus program, remember KT they all want to make money. So if i would to sell you a antivirus program i would make sure it found some files that other programs wouldn´t, then you would think what a great software. And it's legal.. But im using Norton..

I use IE with the pop-up blocker, and it works great. The notices are small and discrete, i hate software that puts a huge window right in the middle of the screen just to warn you..

KT - I had been really unhappy with how much Norton was slowing down my system and with how much money they wanted for a subscription. In addition, last August two viruses got past Norton and caused me all sorts of trouble.

After spending quite some time reading reviews and readers comments, trying MacAfee and Kapersky (sp?) I tired AVG and have been very happy with it. I recieve new updates every day or two, it is very functional and user friendly and it has been catching plenty of viruses.

They make their money on the pro-version which is used by companies and servers.

ROFLMFAO,

Disable Messenger in your system services. You must be logged on as Administrator to do this. Also do as the others say. I run Spybot and Adware. I dont run a virus thingy dealy whachamajig. I use Wintask Administrator and a MSCE Administrator tool. Good Luck

maybe you should open a port through your firewall for teamaspeak.
it can be configured from control panel>windows firewall.

If you are just on TS and these things pop up then you have downloaded a software that controls it.. you may want to look and see if you have bonzu buddy or a internet helper form AOL or one of the other advertisement companies installed...

or try this..
http://accs-net.com/hosts/what_is_hosts.html

and use a host file to block a lot of that

I never knew that you could do that with a firewall.

"SpyBot Search & Destroy" may be another helpful tool to rid you of your hijackers. You should also enable the automatic update features of Windows XP (open the properties of "My Computer", then go to the Automatic Updates tab). It's important to plug known security issues as quickly as possible because after they have been published, hackers will quickly start to exploit them, and all computers without these fixes will fall victim to these hackers.

Once that your computer is under the control of these hackers, they can use it to commit cybercrimes - like using your computers (and thousands of other captured machines) for Denial of Service attacks against web servers (e.g. as a means to extort money), or to send out Spam (so YOU end up blacklisted on email relay servers, not them). We shouldn't make the life of these guys easier than absolutely necessary.
