My firewall is down.Sometimes i drop out when i'm in the game like when it says starting game in 10,9,8,7 and so on when it goes into the game it says system overloaded then it drops me with"conection to host lost"

Right.. as your 56k is weak, and you'll see the system overload when you're gonna drop.. sometimes ya make it thru a game (if very small) and you'll be hard pressed to stay in a 2 or 3 company size battle..
Just the weakness of a 56k connection and MP gaming.. (least with SB)
When I had 56K, I dropped from any big game within 15 mins or sooner but, I could host one vs one small battles and finish the game, most of the times.. FYI
LS
I think We figured out that Koga's problem was in fact Window ME
What does LS mean?but how does having windows m.e deal with not bein able to play? Also if i were to join a game with someone who lived close to me(az) would i be able to play?

Of all the Windows out there Koga , Windows ME has the worst rap .You might have better luck finding an old copy of 98 SE.
The next time I see you on TS lets try to start a game OK and see how well it works alright
Ok that sounds cool i hate this computer really bad but i need it to play endless hours of steelbeasts and internet.like tues and wends i played about 5hrs each day.I need to prove how good or bad i am.

You should concentrate on participating in smaller missions, if possible. They tend to generate less network traffic, so no overload message should appear. Some people tend to dismiss the Overload message because, somehow, Steel Beasts often manages to carry on. Sometimes however it doesn't, and then it's perceived as a bug of sorts.
Anyway, if you still drop from even very simple and small missions, then something's wrong with the internet connection as such, or maybe it is tied to a conflict with software running in the background. It would then warrant a closer investigation.
What other factors should be consiered besides game size like do mods and other skins create probs in gameplay? or game options?

I heard that if you use really ugly skins the computer will crash the game because of embarassment. ;)

But seriously, I got the same setup as you do and the game runs fine for me most of the time. Ive experienced only a handful of drops so far. There some tweaks which might help you. I can show you how to make the changes if you want to try them out.
