I have learned by mistakes how to make units move. What i want to do is set up several different routes that units can take so the scenarios i make will be just a tad bit more difficult...Any suggestions  :?:

Soon to be released will be a chapter to the Steel Beasts Scenario Design Guide explaining how to use conditioned routes.

For now, you might want to this. First, define several triggers. Then, define the routes, then select Embark if... to make them conditioned routes. When the condition dialogue window opens, click the check box next to the top AND, then click the radio button next to Trigger... is set'. That will allow you to send the unit on its route just by firing the trigger.

It should look something like the illustration. Hope this helps.

A good thing to do, Richard, is to key departure on a route to the arrival of another vehicle at another wpt. I use this to coordinate movement. You can set up 2 or more "trees", route structures that cover several units conducting an overwatch, then key one tree or the other with one of the variables. I usually use four "trees", keyed to 0<X1<25, 25<X1<50, 50<X1<75, and 75<X1<100.
This way the altenate moves are coordinated and look more realistic.

For self control yo can add a radio message in editor, telling you what route the unit will take if you set it up like Elf just said and make these variables events.

yes, these messages can be used as a really effective test as well, but, be aware that seeing the message too many times could give something unintended away to the player

I will give it a try, and thank you Gentlemen.

no prob, the editor is the real mighty thing in SB, sittin' there hours and hours trying to tell the route x of comp A from the route y of comp B (C,D,etc) under given events-conditions and trying to fool yourself by making a workable red plan, that you have problems to win vs yourself--> for coops and SP, MP sce's mostly depend on the map to make a terrain that gives chances for both.
