View Full Version : Downtime notice...
Our isp will be moving us to another machine sometime wednesday or thursday. It could take a few hours as our site is getting quite large.

These page loading times are amazing, I’m zipping all over the place. This makes navigating the server much easier. Thank you Sean and whoever else is responsible for the upgrade. The drawn out tension is sometimes such that change of most any sort suggests the release of Steel Beasts Professional Personal Edition (SB Pro PE), However, I can’t help but think that while moving to a new machine may have been done because such a upgrade was simply due, it also may be in preparation for the influx of visitors this server is anticipating upon SB Pro PE’s release. That’s hardly a difficult prediction to make with there being five and a half months left in the year.
Hehe, no conclusions should be drawn from this change - it was just our isp moving us to an upgraded machine with faster hard drives. I'm hoping the new home also resolves the load spikes that seem to happen every hour on the hour, which brings things to a complete halt. Thanks for the praise.

The only reliable indicator is our newsletter telling that it will be released on a specific day in 2005.

DISREGARD  R.. in your "profile" up at the very top of forums, I think there is a place to put a chk mark in for it.. Or, in left column, "My Account", I think one of them has a box for it, check it out.

I’m confused. While I’m not planning to sign-up for the eSim Games newsletter myself, mapman in the thread titled I summon the Newsletter would have me believe that a newsletter in the My Account section of this website, though I could find no such option, would be different from a newsletter from eSim Games. Is Sean, in that same thread, at Sep 21, 2004 - 11:50 PM, saying there is no longer a steelbeasts.com newsletter?

There is no longer a steelbeasts.com newsletter. 2/3 of the emails subscribed bounced, and the amount of time people put into it was not worth the effort of pushing it out to 70-80 people.
However, there is an esimgames newsletter. You will have to go to esimgames.com to sign up, as there is no way to sign up for that here.
