This has probably been brought up.. but, just makin sure.. Would it be possible to make it so rather than one battle plan being saved (in each scenaro) that we could save maybe 3 or more, as to quick launch the game? As opposed to "changing saved plan" and "losing old saved plan" for new one.. I think for example, saved plan A is good for battle against Arch.. (NO HOPE.. LOL) but not against GS.. so I choose battle plan B (saved too) and plan C is the one I want to use against Brun or Joe..etc.. maybe 5 saved plans if possible?

Again, sorry, can't recall from old Forum what was on SB2 wish list.. ty Ls :casstet:

What you could do in the mean time LS, is rename the plans. Create your plan, play Arch (aaahahahhaah and win?! NOT! LOL ;)) then after the mission rename the plan keeping the name and adding something to the efffect of "_arch" to the end of the mission name on the .pln file. When you want to use that plan, just remove your addition to the name and your plan will be useable in SB. I hope this helps LS. :D

Plans to use against Arch:

Gather all your tanks into a 50m x 50m square, shut down all engines and call ICM on yourself. Brag to others that "just played AA and he wasn't able to kill a single one of my tanks".

Drive all tanks about 4km out of bounds, then around the map and into his deployment zone.

Form all your tanks into a hollow square with FO vehicles on the corners, and move around that way. Shoot 8-12 rounds of spec fire onto every ridgeline that presents itself.

I haven't tried any of these yet, but I probably will someday...the standard approach is certainly not doing it for me. :|

Supersonic cracks for bypassing rounds.
Tumbling ricochets /possible ricochets from hit AFVs (by autocannons/machineguns)
Trees/buildings/hulks blocking the cannon.
Damagable main armament.
Driver incorporated in damage model.
Gunner's head banging back when hit whilst at GAS.
Temp sight loss when riding bumby.
More kill sequences, like hatches blown open, tank floor blasting through, roadwheels flying off, "slow" ammo cook-off (flames burning though turretring and hatches)
A Lamborghini Countach

Well, here goes mine.

1) MRS updates
2) Realistic turret traverse speed as a selectable option (same traverse rate in 3x and 10/12x).
3) What LS and Keiler listed. :D

Speaking of traverse rate...

Every so often I find that my tank's traverse slows down to roughly half of its normal rate. I'm normally too busy to systematically investigate the symptoms, but it seems to persist for the remainder of the battle.

Because this is SB, I assume this is not a glitch but the simulation of some unknown-to-me characteristic of modern tanks. Can someone enlighten me?

I would like a little bit more flexibility regarding Marers. I am sorry to open my big mouth again, but i find very rigid the default only lead marder can have ATGMs. We already have the unreal ammo selection giving Leos American silvertip unconventional rounds that would make the Greens go crazy at the Bundeswehr. Is very unrealistic Leos fighting M1s and Marders against Brads. So, why not let this go?

Sorry to whinne again :casstet:

I forgot, jammed gun elevation.
IFVs using cannons vs. infantry at longer ranges.
Hitzone for turretring-gap, according to the real ones.
Damagable GAS (though unlikely, possible)
Crews bailing out (yeah I know, but it would look really cool ;) )
Like, I think it was Batguano?, screams (yeah I am sick too :D of grunts

The turret ring isn't vulnerable? Crud...I always aim "under the chin" when taking front shots. Now the question is, do I maintain the good habit and wait for the game to catch up, or do I teach myself to aim for the front hull...?

Love the sig, whoever uses the LOAD"*",8,1 thing...gawd, after all these years I can still type that really fast. :D Of course, to launch some of the truly kewl games you had to type SYS32767...

My X-Mas wish list is that the latest Russian weaponry be simulated here in new SB2. Not only that but that they be playable in player and multiplayer missions. Possible scenarios packaged with game should include historical Tank on Tank engagements like Yom Kippur War, Chad Conflict (Libya vs France) , Desert Storm , Lebanon (Syrian T62 vs Isrieli equipment , first use of Merkava MBT). I am a history buff and would love to play some of these. I was a M60A3 crewman i the NYANG and we were put on standby by the Governor Cuomo for possible assault/attack of Mohawk Reservation in upsate NY. The plan was to fly to Fort Drum link up with prepositioned equipment and drive to area of unrest. If situation unresolved then to use M113 and M60A3 tanks to put down unrest. This is a no shitter. I guess someone in the Mohawk tribes heard about the plan and terminated hostilities. I was on 4 hour call ready for a week. My boss said I was fucking crazy !

In the spirit of this...have you seen the Tiger Hunt thread in SimHQ's turret talk forum? I know this game is a no-brainer, but the flame effects of those burning vehicles in the pics look great. The smoke seems off though-like someone cracked open a radiator rather than what you'd expect of burning oil and ammo.
