View Full Version : did I give correct answers?

I got asked at another forum which tanks so far have 3D interiors. I answered Leo 2 and Bradley, with M1 in the works, and Leo 1 maybe also, but both not yet included. Was that correct? I was not sure.
I also said that so far neither the T72 nor the T80 has been confirmed to be playable by the player, but at least one of these will be made playable in a future update. Was this a correct answer, too? I assume both would come without 3D interiors, also.
If I was wrong let me know, I don't want to fool those boys.
Someone also wanted to know how long the 120mm cannon is if it'S length is expressed in periscope lengths. Submariners are nuts altogether :)

There is a list of what is currently implemented in the tool ;)
And the gun is a L44 gun (M256 in US) , wich means 120mm X 44 = 5.28m =)

That was fast. But what about the perisope lengths...? :D

Periscopes off which class of U-boat?

Well, I'd assume the Peri R-17 as the natural reference. Which is 277mm above the turret surface in the Leo 2A1, and 327mm in later versions (2A2...A4).
You do the math.

One of my other personality disorders is that when someone says 'do the math', I assume they're talking to me.
Leo2A4 has a gun 44 calibers long, so 44 x 120mm = 5.28m
Leo2A5 has a gun 55 calibers long, so 55 x 120mm = 6.60m
If the periscope is .327m, then...
Leo2A4 has a gun 5.28/0.327 = 16.2 periscopes long
Leo2A5 has a gun 6.60/0.327 = 20.2 periscopes long.

I assume as true subsimmers they did not mean the peri of the Leo (that is no peri in their eyes, only a small, little wannabe :) ), but the peri of let's say an 688i. :). So if a 688 hangs around at 63 feet when to use the perioscope and the peri stick x ft out of th water... and get sighteded by a T72... and the crew asking what a big tank that is, and why it is sitting on it'S back... must be a triple-A-barrel, then... where are the other two, then...?
Life is full of wonderful mysteries. So many question, so little answers - could make you cry.
How deep must a tank dive to become invisible to thermal visors, btw? and how many guys over there must I make buying SB Pro in order to get my copy for free?

Not to confuse anyone, the 2A5DK still have the L44 gun, irl and in game :)

Gah.
Are there any 2A5s with the L55 gun, or is that exclusive to 2A6?

afaik mounting the L55 gun is what officialy makes it an 2A6, so no.
