I have locked a number of threads due to ongoing political debate, political debate dishuised as humor, or inviting for political debate. Maybe I should've done it earlier, but you know the rules.
If you want to cry once more about the political discussion policy of this board, just go ahead, relieve yourself. Not that it'd help to change anything.

Nope... You're right to do it. Also you gave it time to roll, which was unprecedented and I reckon thats good too.
Whats more we almost actually had a debate that didnt degenerate into arguments for the sake of arguing. But I bolo'd as hard as anyone.... For that I apologise.
I believe alot of the misunderstanding has alot to do with the various languages spoken as first languages here. Nothing is easier to read emotion into than text. This problem compounds as enivitably something gets lost in translation. If you haven't dealt with the people you're debating with, on a one versus one basis, for an extended period of time then you will always misunderstand them and assume they are taking a farther position from yours, than they are truly taking, during a debate.
So, anyhow, I see the need to lock them too.

But since you asked for it. ;)
What makes you think I don't know what you're thinking about whenever you imply I may not be thinking about what I assume you're thinking I am thinking about? huh? HUH!?!
:D
Yeaaaaaaa, dats what I thought.

:casstet: Sorry....but I have a serious disease...I can't keep my mouth shut in political debates...even when I happen to be a very un-political person... It was not my intention to be the n00b with more attitude than what is advisable. I'm a super mod in another forum and know the type all too well. I even hate political debates more than the odd spammer...
Bottom line, no offense meant. Just a "heads up" on the fact that there's more than side in every conflict. Now, I'll shaddup and go back to readin' about SB2...more pleasing. ;)

I believe I pointed that out on 3/9 about a thread started on 3/6.
but you know the rules.
Your house - your rules . Keep in mind though that if you leave the front door open long enough folks in the neighborhood are going to think you're inviting them in.

*Sigh* A few closed political threads, a philosophical debate by Devil and remote-controlled tanks... almost feels like the old forum again... :D
