Ok, loaded up great, dongle thing is, er, dongling and the game runs well.

For resolution, I went to the display section under options and it has windowed or full screen. If it is windowed, does the resolution in the image just match what I have selected for my desktop? I have 1280x1024 loaded on my desktop display and I have the SB window stretched to almost cover the whole thing. In the tank range, I am getting 20 fps. So, how does the PC setting for resolution affect the game when in a window? And which full screen resolution gives the best aspect ratio (so that it isn't stretched funny)?

Thanks!

Try the different modes, and see what works for you. Theres all kinds of variables that go into it, like what your video card is, what your monitor is, and what resolutions it supports. I will say this - that window mode is not really intended for serious gaming. It was a debugging tool that was left in there so you could use your map editor or sce editor and do your web surfing too.

Quite the contrary, windowed mode was introduced for the "serious" in "serious gaming" since it makes scenario and map design easier. But fo serious immersion, full screen mode might be the better choice. Ctrl+W, by the way, switches to windowed mode temporarily (after the next start, SB Pro PE will still be in full screen mode).

control W? oh you must be kidding me...I think I found the source of the window mode bug i have been getting.... seeing as the W key is used alot and Shift is right above control.... by the way,..when it is hit, it doesnt shift all the way, some stuff doesnt work, like in vehicle views dont move when you command movement, but the engine revs as if your moving...

I was sure that moving the focus off the window during a multiplayer session would cause it to drop, but it does not. So, I guess it doesnt matter. I havent run any tests to see which mode offers better frame rates.

That's why the minimize button had to be eliminated. Minimizing SB would often cause problems in multiplayer games, but a switch between applications doesn't necessarily so.
