No data, CD not recognized.
Nothing. It is just a blank CD.
:(
Does this thing not run in DVD drives?
*EDIT* Game starts install procedure fine on my wife's laptop...but not on my computer which has a DVD drive.
Could Starforce be causing this?
I do have other games that use it...I wonder if this is affecting my DVD drive?

Turn it the other side up.
NTM
(Seriously though, that's one that I think we can fix quickly, if you've got a fast Internet connection. As long as the dongle dongles)

Already tried that.
Nothing.

Did the dongle come with, and does it show up as an extra drive? If so, I sense an opportunity to demonstrate one of the advantages of going that route.

Well, it works in my wife's CD-ROM drive on her laptop....but not on my DVD drive on my computer. I don't have a CD-ROM drive. :(
I hate to say it, but could Starforce be causing this? I do have games on my computer that use it.

OK. That's a bit more bizarre. Might still be able to deal with this when the Powers that Are wake up tomorrow.
Have you tried sharing the wife's CD drive and installing it off your home network?
NTM
Do you have a ethernet cable by any chance? If your computer and your wifes laptop both have ethernet, then share the cd rom on her computer, and either install from there, or copy the cd to your hard drive and install it locally.

Now it goes in shiny side down. If your wifes PC reads it its not the CD.

Think I fixed it!
I found a set of Java Run Time files that I had to install for a virtual classroom for my school. I uninstalled that AND the "Java Webstart" program and autorun fired right up.
I'm gonna try and install now and see what happens. I'll report here asap as soon as I know more.
Sean, my apologies for posting in both forums. In my haste, I got a little frantic. My apologies for that.

I learned that before MS certified me. lol

Nope.
Restarted my computer and now the CD doesn't show up again.

I was having the same problem. I put the CD in the drive and my DVD drive does not recognize the disc. I have a Plextor 708A DVDR, and I also have other games that use Starforce(Not sure if this is related). If I place the SB Pro PE CD in my other computer, the CD is recognized and the autorun works as it should.
With this in mind, I decided to try and install SB Pro PE over the network and I was successful. I am now able to play SB Pro PE in all it's glory, YAY! I hope you can figure out the reason certain DVD drives aren't recognized. SB Pro PE is the only game I have that has this problem, so I am guessing it has something to do with copy protection with SB Pro PE. Other than the CD recognition problem, the game works as advertised...so far.

Hmm, very interesting.
My DVD is either a Plextor or a Sony (my Bro-in-law gave it to a while back).
Wierd...

Fortunately, thanks to CodeMeter protection, you can make copies of your disks and try those copies for the installation. If a drive is not reading a normal CD, then sending a replacement CD won't really address the issue unfortunately.

I'm making a copy now with my wife's computer.
I'll let you know how it goes as soon as it's finished.

Nope, no joy.
Burned the files onto a CD-RW with my wife's computer and it still showed up as a blank CD (the CD worked fine before....I erased the old data off). The SB files don't show up on her computer either with the CDRW.
Her computer does seem to be able to recognize the original CD. Of course, that doesn't help though. lol
How do I use her laptop drive to install to my HD?

Well, if you can connect the two computers by a network cable and set the network permissions so that you can access the drive from the other computer, you could install it over the network.
Or you could copy the content of the disk to a local folder, and then copy that folder over to your computer, and install the software from there. Or someone of the other people here who already got SB Pro PE could put the installation files on BitTorrent or some other peer to peer network, so you can download the software on your computer to install it.
Like I wrote before, sending you a new disk to replace the old one probably doesn't help. Have you never had any problem before to read CDs in your drive? This really sounds weird, and I'm sorry for the inconvenience and hassle. But I think that we will find a solution.

Already found a solution. Check a few posts down, or your email.
I just solved it a few moments ago. :)

I solved this issue by making a copy of the original SB disk using my laptop. The newly copied disk worked just fine in my DVD drive.
It is a real shame that ESim was saddled with this issue from the company that did the production run.

Doing that didn't work in my case. Luckily I had my other DVD-RW handy. :)
