In the F5 map screen (both during planning and in-game), my mini-map in the lower-right corner is always blank. It's just a white box showing no terrain, although it does include blue and red dots for units. This has been the case for every map I have seen so far, although admittedly I haven't loaded many beyond the tutorials, the tank range, and "Are They Attacking Here?"

Is this a problem with my installation, my video settings, or what?

This is in 1024x768/32 full-screen mode, which is the same as my desktop resolution.

I've got the same problem, all white box with little blue pixel sized squares marking positions.

There is no problem in this . This is the way it is , its purpose is to show a "God eye view" of the entire battlefield as some maps are too big to be displayed entirely in the main window .

Cheers . :3starSK:

But isn't it supposed to show terrain as well? Mine is blank.

Thanks guys, I guess I'm still in SB1 mode. :) I'm so used to seeing that little color map in the corner I assumed it was a bug.

Since SB PPE just uses contour lines to show terrain, the lines would be WAY to close together to read, if they were displayed in the mini-map.

Well, color coding is still on "The List", to tell you the truth. It's not that we abandoned the concept entirely.

It seems to me that a "limited" mini-map would be the most realistic option. Perhaps the map should only show roads, water, and any markpoints tagged by the player.
