Or are they just really terrible shots?
Whenever they shoot what I presume is their missile, it is always short. Every time, whether they're shooting at 1000m, 1500m, 500m.

Depends on what they're shooting at, and whether or not it's finding cover, moving, etc. Destroying the BMP will also abort the BMPs missile.

Hull down, but not moving, and they're dropping 100 yards short, every time. Not killing them, just sitting there, watching them waste ammo. I've seen it in the instant action and in the stryker missions (which I updated with BMP-1s).
Seems they are using the wrong aim point - mass center -> not taking cover into the account.

The missile was being shot at too steep of an angle and since we recently changed th missile flight characteristics to be more "sluggish", it's hitting the ground because it's overcompensating from being way too high. I've fixed the problem.
Thanks!

Watching the breach mission (t-72) I noticed that the dug-in BMP-1s were missing very much, but the T-72s that tried to kill the BMPs fired short constantly (no exception!). It seems like the T-72s were trying to hit the middle of the hull, but always hitting the ground. It happened at very short ranges too (less than 100)! The BMP-1s did hit sometimes, but mostly their shots were short (using cannon).
Anyone else tried this?

Yes, I think that I observed this behavior as well.
