I do not play MP, nor do I include MP testing in my review, but I nevertheless wonder: where are the MP maps located, how many are there? I found the SP maps and tutorials. but no MP maps. I need that piece of info while working down my list. I have searched all hidden folders for that.

and what are the Demo-missions good for? I started 73 Hastings, found out that I can nothing do in it, and the mission going was not really spectacular. Is it demonstratin movie-making only?

Hint by me: next time put all the installation stuff into one and the same major folder, instead of distributing it to three or four different loactions, some of them even hidden by default option. ;)

Don't get me wrong, the sim is great. But as a reviewer I also need to dig for details.

Another question: when using the print option during mission planning, I get a error-box "Fehler 16, 752, 4, 840". I click it away, and the the map nevertheless gets printed out without problem or error.

I take it that by "maps" you mean "scenarios". Most single-player scenarios are suitable for cooperative multiplayer sessions as well. As far as force on force scenarios are concerned, there were a couple submitted, but I didn't like them in the context of a "Professional" version, so we didn't include them. I take it that you may see some of them for download later here at SB.com.

Most of them are included to demonstrate certain concepts, e.g. how to script a mine-field breaching operation, or the refueling of tanks in a forest (which is especially tricky). They often do not come with a serious tactical challenge because they're just fragments of a scenario to illustrate a certain point.

Hint by me: Look up Microsoft's standards for file placement in multi-user environments. Don't complain if a developer actually adheres to the standards of an operating system to facilitate that SB Pro can even be run from a "Guest" account, so that your friends and kids can't wreck the installation.

Since the error message is in German, I gather it's from your printer driver.

Dunno but some of the multiplayer scenarios in Sb1 were better than the singleplayer missions offline.

The Demo's that Nils did certainly impressed a lot of the military officers I demonstrated the product to. For many the "Breach" demo sold the product. It is something that not many professional sims do well, so see it in 3D blew their socks off.

That type of capability makes the product very useful as a staff trainer and to practice post H-Hour decision making of Tactical Exercises Without Troops. Both are key for the development of military leaders.

FYI, I got the exact same error message on printing. The bad thing about this is that the window with the error message was hidden, and I sat there for many minutes before hitting alt-tab and discovering this message box...

Who are you doing the review for Skybird?
Do it for tanksim.com

I will drop a short line when it is up. My work is done since last night, now it is up to the publisher. This morning he said: "Late friday".

Be warned and bring some time with you, it's monster-sized and probably the longest and most detailed review you have ever red. ;)
