there are some units that have been completely forgotten about that really can't be ignored.
every company of armour must include a satelite news reporter, and at least 2 camera men. one would assume they should be non combatant members of an xo or co pc. they should be able to travel with the other infantry within the unit, but have no ability to fire weapons. but if they see anything that goes on in the battlefirld that goes against conventions of war, you loose the scenario immediately... :D :D :P :P :P

Just use the ambulance vehicle and skin it with a big 'CNN' across the sides.
:D
Don't forget that, though they move with the unit they're attached to, they also move around independently in order to get the best picture (and thus may give away your position). :casstet:

CNN is modelled in Steel Beasts by a "Reveal position to enemy" penalty zone that covers the entire map.

Who said there wouldn't be camera teams in SB2?

Perhaps you can get bonus points if you deploy them in a FASCAM field, behind a hill, where they can't see whats going on, and can't go anywhere until (and if) you decide to come back with the mineclearance tanks (which I sincerely hope will make an appearance in SB2). :P

I hope we'll be able to stream their video footage through a video card to a big screen TV set, blend in our favorite TV station logo and let our beer-drinking guests watch our battle ;). Not a bad idea...

Not a bad idea at all...
Another possibility is to make the F8 screen for the CNN unit available to the opposition, to simulate the real-time broadcasting and intel on the TV. They can see everything, if they can recognise the hills and towns, then opposition gets an intel coup! Otherwise, they just see 'tanks at an undisclosed location'!
