Hi guys,

Iam from Europe(Greece) and i have to confess i wasnt the best student in my classroom as concern my English-American  so please forgive any mistakes of mine.Iam waiting my copy with anticipation and couldnt resist ask you some questions about Sb while waiting!

For those who knows about real life tank Capabilities and have tried this sim:
1)Which one you think is the most good "Hunter-Killer" tank,Leopard2A4 or M1A1 in real life? I know there are many versions of those tanks all over the world especially Leopard (in Europe) and each army can order it with the ability to make some impovements to the basic version or add some characteristics more, modified. For instance in my country we use Leopard2A4-1A5-1A3 but our top is Leopard2A4HEL which is modified(Tower protection APFDS-T(RHA)920-940,HEAT-T 1730-1960,Armor ProtectionAPFDS-T 620,HEAT-T 750,120mm-L55,DM-53, Distance at 2 kilometers can penetrate 810mm,Air condition included coz of summer in Greece  )
Iam asking about the versions of SB Pro-Pe that included, in real life!

2)Playing this sim so far,do you feel that the abilities of each of those two tanks(Leo2A4-M1A1) are as close as and match the abilities of real life "Hunter-Killer"tanks?.I mean:movement, speed, time to take to shoot each rounds, or turn around tower, damage while in movement,Thermal Vision, sounds inside tank especially after a damage or hit,the vision from each station inside to outside,armor,....abilities...,etc,etc.So i have the same question as above which one you could consider the best "Tank-Killer" tanks of those two in SP-Pro Pe?Do you feel your answer after playing this sim match the answer of my first question?

I hope you will find it a related topic, its not so much LEOvsM1, as the charachteristics of both that make them the best "Hunter-Killer" comparing their real life abilities(enviroment) and in this sim!
Anyone who have been in such tanks in real life could he feel that this sim really helps fast reaction and reflects at least?

M1A1 doesn't have hunter killer. if he finds something, he has to find it again in the gunners sight. this has been changed in the M1A2.

As far as qualities of H/K implementations are concerned, I agree with what has been said here. However, "hunter killer" seems to me a poorly defined marketing buzzword. If it's just the ability for the vehicle commander to override the gunner and steer the gun at least roughly to the direction of a threat, then even the T-54 had "hunter killer" capability (only, it was a very primitive and limited solution).

I have my doubts whether one could ever actually give THE undisputed answer to such a question.

Actually depends on how you define hunter killer. To me when you ssay hunter killer, you are talking about a brad and a tank. The brad, or even humvee, is the hunter, the tank is the killer

I believe the British Conqueror was the first true H/K tank, where the TC had his own cupola, rangefinder and hand-off ability. 1950s.
