I think I'm about to order this as I liked SB1 when it first came out.

Other than graphics, new crewable vehicles, etc., what does Pro PE offer that's different from SB1 in say the gunners position in the M1A1? Are they pretty much the same? I'm wondering about the crew positions in tanks that are similar from SB1 to Pro PE. Are they different other than graphics?

As far as the vehicles are concerned that were playable in SB1 as well - no dramatic changes, maybe except the thermal imager. But that should hardly come as a surprise - if the simulation represents reality well, why change it?

Hey R48, I think Ssnake is being a little too modest here IMO.

From one that stayed with sB1, and tried to tame the M1 and its sights that both, with my stick and my eyes (maybe..lol) never got any better, quite the opposite when they changed the style and quality IMO of the same stick. But, my PC was old as well, P-3, 500mkz OS.. so when the new PC's started hosting, I was in lag city, packet loss zone, and just wierd ever changing stick controls, and became cannon fodder vs any Vets.

But, with my new PC, with the power needed to push SB Pro, both the quality, resolution wise, and so far, from what I have seen in the M1, the gun sights and my same stick, are in heaven.. Along with a wondeful feeling of complete immersion, that SB 1` lost when your binos came in contact with trees, or your gun.. NO MAS!!

Trust me, Day optics and camo are KEY!! and as Ssnake said, and I agree with totally, no more free glow-ya-go-TIS long shots, along with many improvements, and some problems as well, but that's the good part of being on the civi-side of Beta testing, it's an on-going process with full support of those that buy it.. More eyes see more, and esim will follow thru with patches up the road, and make it better thru all of our imputs.

Buy it, ya don't like it, I'll buy it from ya, and find a good home for it.. NS

Thanks to you both for replying. I'm very interested in this. I've bought almost every tank sim that has been put out and none of them was near as good as SB1. I'm sure Pro PE is much better.

The only thing that I'm somewhat concerned about is the AI gunnery skills, or from what I read the lack thereof. I really don't play MP so I'm more likely to play this in SP mode. If the enemy AI can't hit me too well and my AI isn't too much better, I wonder if I'll be waiting on a patch before I can do much. Once I get up to speed I don't really want to blow the AI away. I've always found the more interesting battles are the ones I lose.
