A thread to act as the repository for all things related to making SB Pro PE a better fit for Canadians:
1) ASLAV-25 and ASLAV make good stand-ins for Coyote and Bison, repectively. It'd be nice to have their own skins, etc... but for the time being, these work.
2) ASLAV-25 suffers from the 25mm effects bug. Known issue, as it affects Bradley too.
3) ASLAV-25 has wrong sights for Coyote (maybe wrong sights period?) Needs:
a) Correct Canadian daysight reticule
b) Correct Canadian TI reticules (wide angle just needs aiming dot)
c) Correct commanders's Image Intensifier (passive NV) sight and reticule (not needed unless night is implimented too!)
4) I confirm Coyote has separate eyepieces for daysight, TI, and (for commander) passive nightsight. Switching TI off should result in eye pullback from TI to push in to daysight, like the camera move on Leo2 (very cool BTW)
5) Should also (at some point) incorporate PLUGR navigation display, turret azimuth and elevation displays, laser warning reciever.
6) Canadian voice procedure sounds (in progress)
7) Support Candian turret drills - # 6 gets us about halfway there
8) Support Canadian unit designations - probably similar to Aussie or British:
a) Tanks form "troops" and "squadrons" not "platoons" and "companies"
b) Callsigns typically A Sqn = 1x B Sqn = 2x etc
c) Troop leaders get 1 Tp = x1, 2 Tp = x2 etc
d) Subcallsigns get letters - so A Sqn, 1 Tp is 11, 11A, 11B, 11C
e) Recce is 8 cars, subdivided into 2-car patrols plus a 2-car Troop HQ, ie D Sqn 2 Tp is
i) A Ptl (42A, 42B)
ii) C Ptl (42C, 42D)
iii) E Ptl (42E, 42F)
iv) HQ Ptl (42, 42G)
f) Squadron HQ callsigns:
i) Squadron Commander:x9 (ie, 19 for A Sqn)
ii) CP (with Battle Captain) x (ie 1 for A sqn - typically a Bison)
NOTE - really 2 CPs (1A, 1B) that alternate with active CP dropping the letter when it is live on the net
iii) LO: x9E (ie 39E for C Sqn)
iv) Echelon has x9A, x9C... but echelon is bigtime future expansion
