This is at www.subsim.com where I indulge in Sub Command, another sim I love.

SubCommand is not bad, but it's for navi men
Flanker - for pilots
SteelBeasts - for tankers

Everyone has what he wants to have

But what for me, I afraid of water and height

:D Well I was a tanker in the Army for 3 years and an Electronics Technician in the Navy for 10 years so I fit 2 out of 3.

Sub Command is great - brings back many memories
SB is great - brings back many memories (if they'd just add in the M-60A1) (great community too).
Flanker is still one of the best flight sims ever made and mucho fun (and I'm no pilot).

To summarize - even though your implication is that it might help to have real world experience it really isn't necessary to play well or enjoy the game. Hell I got the crap stomped out of me in SB online all the time when I was still playing and I was a hell of a gunner IRL. On the other hand in Sub Command I won 9 of 10 online games I played but was only a Reactor Operator (ET) IRL and not a forward puke (the guys that operated the sub - I just controlled and maintained the reactor along with about 30 other guys).

So anyone can pretty much enjoy any game regardless of the genre if it is something in which they are interested.

So take a chance and get SC and Flanker. ENJOY!
