Hack, I always thought you made the best skins for SB1. I wanted you to improve the M1A1 skin in SB 1 but you never did. If you start making them now, I will take a break and admire your handiwork, and grab every skin you make. :D

You aren't looking at them correctly then Congo... Do you have photoshop? Know anything about using layers in PS? Take a look at them there and fish around. Convert um to BMP and um, you have a few new excellent skins ;)

PS 7.0 I normally work in PSD or Jpeg and then convert to 24 bit BMP when I;m happy with the product.

Yeah a big thanks to Dejawolf for releasing his templates. But about the roof on the Leo2a4. he has errased it =) (guess he has to do a new!)

reason why Leo2A4 and M113AS4 is there is because I asked for them for a few weeks ago. they are superb templates to work with, im a bit spoiled with templates from IL2 community but its another range of work on this. but it looks awsome.

I myself would most greatfully like to see some blanks for the Leo 1A5, Bibber,
LAV25, ASLAV, ASLAV PC, and all of the M113 series.
HINT: Trying to do CDN skins, Need MAJOR help.
Know this is a vast undertaking, would do some of this myself, but don't know how.

Tried to look at the skins, everything is in a .rar file, no problem there, however when I open the .rar file the skin is listed in a .psd format which when I try to open
gives me ????.
Am I missing something or just not doing something?

As for anyone who is having trouble opening the Photoshop files in Paint Shop Pro (getting a 565 error or something similar) there is a way around it. Just download a freeware program called "GIMP" and open the files with this program. Then simply re-save them in PSD format and they will open just fine in PSP.

Dejawolf! Where the heck is this part that is painted black and yellow (by me, lol) on the HIND? You will probably have to open the image to see it. I've been pulling my hair out off and on for days trying to figure it out. I know where I painted these colors, I just don't see where they are overlapping onto this part. Thanks!

Just out of interest and you dont happen to have photoshop or similar type program ,then try looking for a program called GIMP its the one I use at moment till I have enough money for maybe buying a better type program....
I've bin using GIMP for IL2 skinning and find its ok , obviously its not as a good as the professional jobbies but its good enough for a starter for peep's like me .....

aye, have photoshop 8. copy protection is a stinking bitch, to handle (online registration after each install..) but i found a way around it.

i've given gimp a short go, although didn't like the airbrush.

I have done a green Leo2A4 and OlleP has done a swedish MT-LB. ive started on the BMP1 but never got around to work with it because the HEMT and FUEL trucks stolled my attention away.

go to www.ronner.net and download the MT-LB there, the Leo2A4 that I have there is a very old version, havent uploaded a new one but give me your email and I mail it to you.

the M901 isn't really my model, which means not even i have the template for that one.

Is anyone working on a swedish skin for BMP1, MT-LB and Leo2A4?

My recommendation is to use CZ Studios Finnish armor skins for Leo, BMP and MT-LB. They use essentially the same camo-patterns as the Swedish. If you want them to be 100% accurate it is easily done in photoshop.

Screenshots, Leo2A4: CZ-skins Finnish armor summer, with foliage and nets/ CZ-studios winter variant with custom "MekB 10" logo.

Uncle Sam, that's some nordic co-operation there ;) An idea: add more blue to the black of the leo and make the greens a bit lighter and the colours match the Strv 122 and CV9040 quite nicely

no, its just that the way SB renders the models sucks. the textures are exactly the same.
no shadows for one. barely any light.. also a minus.
in most of the renders i utilized something called a "skylight"
i'm currently messing around with Vray, which gives results like this:

:( Too bad - but if you look at the current model + skin of the M88 it just looks awesome. I dont know what has been changed in the modelling, but that little baby looks just right - if only the other models + skins could be up to that level.

i changed the texture resolution to 1024x1024, over the older 512x512, which allows for 4x sharper texture.
