I cant override the Leo's gunner, and, why cant I press T in

When I am TC, I cant override the gunner, well I can if I look in his sight and take over, but when I am unbutton, I cant....Lets say I find a target and wants the gunner to point the gun there. I understand the good thing pressing T to when ur gunning to leave ur alone so that the TC dont turn the the tower somehere else, but lets say I am TC, and spot a target, I want to press T and then the gunner fires at the target

A weakness of the Leopard - no override with your head out of the tank.

From the sight extension or the peri view, you can hit up-arrow and the gun will align with the periscope sight and track it until you hit P...but you don't have joystick slew like the M1A1 has.

The closest you can get to that effect, I think, is to hit E to bring the hull onto the target, followed by shift-up arrow to bring the gun to 12:00.
