The computer can handle it I know that.. bcz it worked well the first 3 month after I bought my new computer... and the modem as well (bought them at the same time...

Basic info:
52.0K modem VD56US (yes.. i have updated my drivers for the modem)
AMD Athlon 2000+
256MB DDR RAM
Win XP home edition

anybody that have encountered the same problem or just know how to fix it?

Thx in advance!!

Hey KT..

1. those ping numbers are most likely the culprit.. I remember when I had 56k hookup.. that if the pings where under 300.. and always above 240.. that I had a decent chance of staying in small games... (never big ones for more than 30 mins.. drop )

2. that part about re-installing SB and it worked for a while..

This is what is happening to me and my joystick.. after around 3-5 games, I have to re-install the stick CD..

Being computor Stupid (sad.. I know).. my conclusion is somehow.. someway, the file on the stick is getting corrupted..

But.. really, I have no ideas, other than expressed above..

Hang tight.. you know others will respond, and we have some PC techs.. that are just behyond what I would describe as Mind-Boggling..
