How does one write on the gun barrel?

How can I write on my M1A1's gun barrel?

Well usually you have the best artist on the crew make a stencil, then you just spraypaint over it.

Write it there, bottom left hand corner on the M1A1 file. Write it, the flip it horizontal,

that's actually the front part of the barrel. The part to the right with the three stripes is the actual evacuator. But as Rogue just informed me... the US doesn't write on the evacuator, lol.

Thats not true. I just read a book with 3 Star's unit and there are plenty of Abrams out there with names on the bore evacuator.

Or you could decide not to be a copyright-violating mooch and instead grab an equivalent freeware program like GIMP. http://www.gimp.org/ It should serve your needs quite well.

Write it upside down on your ass, I don't care. The majority of the pics I've seen have them on the end of the barrel. :) So thats were I'd write it unless I have a pic showing it elsewere. On the Abrams anyway.
