Hey,
I'm working on Finn Leo 2A4 that's based on photos taken of the tank. So far I've finished the camopattern and now starts the weathering/detailing/etc. This one is also a joint venture with Congo! I don't have ETA yet... still learning the art of skinning - but I have a real good teacher ;)
Comments etc. welcome!

More screens of Zip and Congos WIP. I have started detailing and shadowing the Finnish Leo. When the detailing is complete Zipuli will add weathyering and then I'll probably do several more edits before release.

Looks really good Zip, but now it looks too dark (do you have a highlight layer?). Or are you in the shade now? Also, I'd play with the transparency level on the Finnish roundel. It's a little bright. Other than that, it looks great!

OK, I brightened it up a bit. I keep the rondel as it is, as it's not painted - it's a sticker that is really bright in colours. They seldom catch too much dirt either thanks to the positioning.
What say you now?

Ah, in RL the roundel is a sticker and not painted on?! That is good information to know. Thanks!
Ah, but the sun would fade it a bit, wouldn't it?
The paint job looks much better with a little brightness. I'd even try another 3%-5% more to see how it looks. The shaded area from the sun will appear dark, but as in the second pic posted above, when hit with light will be a bit brighter. It might be perfect now, but If I were you, I'd just test it a little brighter and see what you get. Hehe, either way, it looks really nice Zip.

Hack,
Here's the test results (+3 bright). It looks OK to me this way too, which way do you like it better?

Almost realtime improvement, thanks for your suggestions!
The sun won't fade the rondel... we have so many stickers that they are kept in very good condition ;)... Actually I think they stay so new looking because they tend to drop often and get squashed by tracks... and then stick a new one and off you go! Anyway, haven't seen a faded one!

ps. All those "holes" brightened up too, so I edited them black again... The pics have for example the side skirt holes dark brown...

I tend to make my highlight layer specific to areas so that I don't have the problem of overwashing low points like your "holes". Or what you can do is go back over your highlight area with an eraser tool and remove those parts, letting through the underlayer and darkness  Hehe, I said, "darkenss" yea! Darkness, yea! (in my favorite Bevis impression).

Thanks HACK,
I guesss I'll continue with the process Zip wants me to add the noskid all over the beasts so I guess thats my next challenge. It's been a fun project so far, a lot of the components were constructed at a higher resolution and then sized to fit the bitmap. Both Zip nad myself have put a lot of time into this bad boy.

Latest... Beautiful detailing by Congo on the beast, I added some no-skid so that Cpl Möttönen will not break his neck on the slippery turret :)

CZ Studios nears completion of detailed Finnish Leopards. Again a joint Finnish American exercise has produced another Skin for all our FDF friends both in Finland and abroad. Here are some closeup screen shots of the dusty version.

True, true. So, release date set? I'm going to start pestering you guys like we all do Ssake for info from the_List. Will it include a crewable T-72 or T-80?!
Ah, found it. But, where is the T-80?! ;)

Hack, I took a pot-shot at it and never saw it afterwards... the trail leads to russian border.
Blake, how about some more scens? Leopards of the north already crushed the attacking evil-doers!
My next thing to do is to update the scenarios to post-patch standards and finish the one I'm working on now... and work on BMP-2 hi-res-finn-skin has begun :) Keeping ourselves busy!
