Hi all, simply put, I'm a n00b! How do I get downloaded scenarios to work? I found the personal document file but what are .rar files? And, where do themes go? What about that neat set of 3 new sky mods.

I don't know where they go, which order they go, or wtf!?! Sorry to be a pain. Playing Steel Beasts Pro PE like the rest of you. Also played the original back in the day. . . Any directions would be most appreciated, folks.

Well, RAR is a compresion file. When one wants to put a file up for others to download, they use this to make the file smaller. The file mybe 2mb's and then when you put it inside the RAR, it mybe 1mb or less.

You need to dl http://www.rarlab.com/

There is a free demo version there somewhere.

Once you have it, run it, find the file you've dl'ed. and open it, and then export whats inside to your desktop. Sometimes its a good idea to create a new folder on your desktop, and export it to there. Or even better, if you know exactly were the file goes, send it there.

C:\Documents and Settings\owner\My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\My Scenarios

Put scenarios there, then browse ingame to find them.

The sky mods go here.
C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\My Documents\eSim Games\Steel Beasts\mods\textures\sky

And if you get a skin for a tank, it goes in 1 of three places, Desert, Woodland, or winter.
